Somehow I don't think lazy is a good word to describe you with right now.
I've learned something new today. Thank you. |

I think you meant to link to gimp.org, not /org ....
You meant the 2.4 version, right? _________________ Dubbed Cube by Asa

Yeah, 2.4, or whatever the latest stable version is. It's got a bit of a learning curve, but it's among the best freeware graphics programs. _________________ Keeper of Tristram's rings, and Felucca's very expressive ears. |

The UI in gimp ain't so great. But that's what I used to do surgery on Viola's avvie, because I was in Linux at the time. When I'm using Windows, I strongly prefer Paint.net, which is NOT MS Paint. It's way better than that. And the most recent version finally added support for saving 8-bit indexed PNG files, yay! _________________ Keeper of The Remnant Minuon (cognomen Lucy, the Eaten One) and the Emissary Caeli |

This is certainly useful info, i've been trying to get PS CS3 to make things really small in file size, which is decidedly harder then it should be. But the indexing got me there.

In Photoshop, it's useful to use the "Save for Web" interface, which lets you fiddle with all this stuff in a fairly convenient interface. _________________ Keeper of The Remnant Minuon (cognomen Lucy, the Eaten One) and the Emissary Caeli |
