| D'you think this is a good idea, to make a movie? It may increase ES's exposure. |

I'm with cube, too much action would be a bit weird. . . _________________ Keeper of Gaia and all the books on Earthsong

I've already done a bit of storyboarding. Sorry guys, but the learning-of-program phase might end up being postponed until I have more time (stooplid me for taking on too many time commitments). At least I have time to talk to you about what to do, and I'm definately starting with Willow. I might even make two: a trailer like you guys want, and one that's a ten-minute vid that takes a bit of a deeper look into who Skogul was before ES, and how that affects who she is now.
*cackles and rubs hands together* I've already got some model morphs planned out on paper for the characters. For those of you that aren't 3d people, a model is a prop, object, or person. A morph is how you change said model to fit your needs. I wouldn't use the default woman model, a VERY buxom, Tomb Radier-reminiscent figure for Willow, now, would I? I'm also thinking of what design to use for Skogul's blade...
The tang in her blade (hilt, for the non-swordies) is a pretty simple design, seen here http://earthsongsaga.com/comic-redux/redux8.html but it's physically not meant to take a harsh beating like a berserker's blade is. Sorry, Lady Yates. It's a great design in theory, but one would think that not only the Mandragora general's blade would be sturdier and thicker, but someone like Skogul would have a blade more like Cloud Strife's Buster Sword, given her personality. I'm open to suggestions, although it'll be inevitable, given the slight inversatility of my animation studio, that the sword will be reworked somehow.
As to characters, I've tried staying as close to form as possible. Again, so redoing will be inevitable, but I think you'll like how Willow and Nan will come out.[/url] _________________ The universe is really interesting. It's also screwed up, but that's what makes it so interesting.

I request that somewhere the phrase 'war of the worlds' is used. _________________ Britland as dubbed by AsA

Er... okay. I suppose it'll fit.
I may put up a rendition of the script (with 'stage' directions) for those of you interested. And it will include 'war of the worlds' somewhere, Britland. _________________ The universe is really interesting. It's also screwed up, but that's what makes it so interesting.

Will do. Storyboards will be completed in math class over the next week and posted for your enjoyment. _________________ The universe is really interesting. It's also screwed up, but that's what makes it so interesting.

I believe Earthsong's official tagline is: "Myths come alive as a world in peril calls forth the heroes of the universe..." Or at least that's the description on TWC. It's a little corny, so use at your own discretion. _________________ Mors Certa, Vita Incerta.

Yayoh. Will do. And 'yayoh' is a bit of an inside joke in my drumline. When the band takes roll at competitions, I, being a typical FF7 nut, yell "Ai yo, to!" Except one time I was so tired that it came out as yayoh-ta-bluh snort. Embarrassing. They threatened to post it on YouTube if I didn't make my section leader a batch of brownies as a don't-do-it bribe.
Anyhoo, storyboards are about half done. I should have them up on my dA (stormaiyo.deviantart.com) shortly. _________________ The universe is really interesting. It's also screwed up, but that's what makes it so interesting.

Sorry for the double post, but I've been neglecting you guys. Sorry again.
Here's the news: my software crashed so utterly horribly that I'll have to use an entirely different engine for animating. I swear on the gods above and the Most Holy Poodle Stick that it will be done by the end of August. I have storyboards done, but they're utterly illegible to anyone but me.
Does anyone have any music they'd like me to put as the trailer sound track? I'm thinking some majestic, Narnia-esque music, how 'bout all y'all? Maybe some rock for the nan-sko battle, and I can even take music tracks, write similar music, and compose completely new music. If you guys cuold give me somewhere to start for music, though, it'd help the release date (hah, hah) be less far out.
/Edit as of 10 August 2008
I've just run into a medical crisis. Please accept my most sincere apologies, the movie will be postponed until futher notice. Note that it will be postponed and not cancelled, but I don't have the materials, time, or medical stability to complete this project right now. I've started the animation but will be unable to finish that segment until I'm in better condition. _________________ The universe is really interesting. Sorry to hear about your bad health. Get well soon, and don't worry, we can stand a little waiting. We're web comic junkies. If there's one thing we understand, it's postponement.
Soundtrackwise, I highly recommend the group Cornerstone Cues. They have a weird name, but their music is more or less literally made for trailers. You can get their stuff off of iTunes, if you use that, or just buy it at Amazon.com. It's fantastic stuff. _________________ Mors Certa, Vita Incerta.

I'm finally back in the running. And I finally have time to dedicate to you guys. I am so sorry for all of this, but it's taken me this long to be able to just sit and relax at a computer.
So, back to the drawing board.....
Since my 3D software is now the Software of Phailur, I might be actually drawing these characters, uploading into a different program and then somehow animating. Given that, I will need advice on which characters to put in. I can draw up to four and still have it animateable in a short amount of time, but any more and it'll take till 2010 to finish this off.
And let's have a big kazoo fanfare for the new year here. _________________ The universe is really interesting. It's also screwed up, but that's what makes it so interesting.
