There's a new spambot, really aggressive; it posted in every thread at least once in under a minute. Different type of name, different e-mail, different tagline. This'll probably get worse quickly.

Yeah, I've nuked 10 or so posts from Merlbit (or something like that) which were all porn spam. One in each forum section. The good thing (or least bad thing, anyway) is that most seem to post only once, or once per forum section, before giving up or getting killed by teh vengeful Lady. If they posted as much as they potentially could, we'd struggle to clear the boards quicker than they could fill them...

Mm, I dunno - Merlbit has done the one-topic-in-every-section thing at least 3 times now. But it's true, we're lucky they don't post as quickly as they can....

Merblilt, technically. And isn't there a limit on speed posting? I know if you try to hit the "send" button twice for a PM, it'll tell you that you can't send them so quickly after another...

It seems to be coming from only one or two sites, too. After adblocking two sites only, I no longer see any pictures...

I haven't actually thought about adblocking them. That would have been sensible. I just try to hit the delete button as swiftly as humanly possible...

Actually, I did it so that I'd be able to hit the delete button faster. =o My connection isn't always the best, and if I have to wait for a lot of obscene pictures to load.....
