This came up a couple of years ago, and I stopped by a tattoo parlor to ask if tattooing your scalp would lead to colored hair. Nope. Tattoos apparently only affect your skin.
At least, with humans. Maybe it works differently with Neuria's people. _________________ Keeper of The Remnant Minuon (cognomen Lucy, the Eaten One) and the Emissary Caeli |

On Neuria herself - Ditto all incoherent babble. I'll admit to not have been paying much attention to Neuria-related discussion, so pardon my ignorance if this has come up before - Was her look in any way related to a certain 'Gargoyles' villain?
On tattoos and fur - Possibly this would make her species the first to invent 'White-out' as a hair dye... _________________ If it's not on fire, it's a software problem

Is it actually fur? Apart from the tail she doesn't look furry. _________________ Britland as dubbed by AsA

I would assume so.
Maybe she dyes it with a template.
Another interesting point: would tattoos not be healed away by the process of coming to ES? _________________ Keeper of Tristram's rings, and Felucca's very expressive ears. |

Neuria reminds me of a particularly neurotic, slightly more psycho/dangerous version of Harley Quinn... who happens to be one of my all-time favorite comic book characters, so I suspect I'm just going to adore Neuria _________________ I do commissions!

Exactly what I thought, sunshine! Except I don't like Harley, so I think I'll be more on the side of "ew gross." Haha, except...I noticed that Neuria's ear piercings look a lot like Lei'ella's piercings from Inverloch? idk if that's just coincidence or if one was inspired by the other. Very cool haminahoo. _________________ dubbed "Cumba" by Asa.

Why doesn't anyone accuse me of plagiarizing Star Trek Bajorans instead? *sigh* Neuria and Lei'ella both debuted with a similar earring style way back who knows when now. My inspiration is my actual earring that looks exactly like that. I don't know what Sarah's was.
As for the fur/tattoo issue, Neuria does indeed have a thin dalmation like fur over her whole body. Werewolves have a technique that dyes the hair follicle for the tattoos. As for whether she got them here or on Earthsong, I'll leave up to you to ponder.
Happy to see that she's being enjoyed! _________________ Keeper of Nanashi's Vambraces and the Amethyst Trees.

Oh my gosh, Lady, this page made my day. "But it COULD be, dearest Tristram!" Those two panels crack me up.
I love it all. xD _________________ "Miguel, you know that little voice that tells you when to quit while you're ahead? You don't have one."

This new version of Neuria reminds me of what we concluded her name was drawn from the first time around. I forget whether it was deemed accurate or not, but I distinctly remember "Neuria = Neurotic" coming up.
And she fits it so very, very well this time. Many kudos! I'm loving Tristram more with every page this time, he's such the tragic villain... just want to save him from his plight! An Neuria is so easy to hate, and yet secretly harbor sympathy for.
I remain thoroughly impressed by your writing, Lady. _________________ . Dubbed "Usagi" by AsA .

I read the old version, but I can't remember ever getting to see Neuria's Soulstone power... _________________

I wasn't around the first time, but I remember something like 'Neurians' being said. I may've imagined it though. _________________ Dubbed "Fish" by Asa. Wren->Fish

Mm, speaking of plagiarizing, with the new addition of the coat and necktie of the previous page, doesn't Trissy look a little too much like a certain frilly prosecutor? Even before then. The hair, the vest, the emo... not that I'm complaining. Oh no. <3 But 'd be funny if it was a coincidence.
And Neuria! *squees with everyone else* That belt buckle is so naughty donkey. I also love the second panel to death. Trissy's expression is adorable as hell. |
