Here's the next writer's group! I'll be taking five people total this time, and it will be thematic. Let's have a week to sign up, then move on to the topic. Please repost and add your name to the list.

For those that don't know what the writer's group is, it's a group that meets every month. People sign up, then I'll give them a topic; once the topic is released, you'll have roughly one month to complete a short piece on that subject or in that style that is given. At the end, we vote on who we feel wrote the best while pertaining to the topic.

My entry for WG#3 is already finished and posted.
Would it be OK if signed up for this one as well or should I wait for #5 to start in two weeks? _________________

I don't know... voting hasn't happened yet for WG3, I personally think that means it's not over yet. My suggestion would be to wait, but let other people answer as well. Particularly Mane, since he's the father of the WGs.

I'm signing up, but I think there were people who had dibs. If this is the case, I'll giving up my spot to the first of them. _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

Since nobody was excluded from the other WG, I feel like it's okay for anybody to sign up for this one. If there's an influx of WG3ers taking up a bunch of spots, I may extend an extra spot or two...but if you'd like to join this one, just go ahead and put your name on the list. I'd like people to have a chance to write for both me and Tenshi rather than being forced to stick with just one of us. It allows for more freedom of thought. _________________ Keeper of Zaebos' and Jormand's powers.

That's exactly what I was asking, rather than just signing up...
I guess I'll wait until tomorrow ... if there are any slots left by 2pm (24 hours after Mane's post) I'm in. _________________

Well, it's past 2pm, and no one has claimed that last spot, so I do!

Okay, guys! This next subject will be GODS! I'd like you each to think of a god or goddess (either real or made up) and describe how they interact with others, be they mortals, supernatural beings, other gods, or something else!
For example, you could talk about Athena and how she raced Ares from Athens to Sparta. Or you can write about Wotan and how he disguised himself as an old man to talk to Sigfried. Another route you can go is a short fluff that tells how Dagr brushes his horse after a hard day of riding his horse in the sky.
What I don't want is just a description of a god and what they can do. I want you to portray this god as an actual being that interacts with the world around him/her; it's okay to have a god that is seemingly unaffected by the world around him/her, but focus more on the interaction/non-interaction rather than the powers.
Any questions?
This will be due by August 17th! Good luck! _________________ Keeper of Zaebos' and Jormand's powers.

Woot! Fun! I love stuff like this!
Questions:
-Must it focus on the god, or just involve them?
-Must the god be one from previously existing mythology?
Depending on the answer you may end up with another retelling. . . _________________ Keeper of Gaia and all the books on Earthsong

Totally thought I had already replied to this...but I guess not.
I needs to focus on the interaction between a god and another being. It doesn't necessarily need to be from the perspective of the god and it doesn't necessarily need to be from the perspective of the mortal/other goddess/supernatural being. I needs to focus on that interaction. It would probably be easiest if it DID focus on the goddess, but it doesn't have to.
No, the god doesn't need to be from existing mythology. You can create your own! If you'd like, you can create your own Gotterdamerung.... _________________ Keeper of Zaebos' and Jormand's powers.
