The article The Five Sexes: Why Male and Female Are Not Enough may be apropos (NOTE: article involves frank discussion of body parts). I read this in one of my introductory anthropology courses, and it was very interesting. There's a follow-up article from a few years later entitled "The Five Sexes Revisited", but I've never read that one.

Mm, I don't think so. Half the discussion may still be about the nature of the grad's survey, but the rest is about statistical bias and it's still talking about surveys. I think we're good.
