It's that time of year again... NaNoWriMo is almost upon us, and I thought I would get the support / discussion thread up and running before November got underway.

For the uninitiated, NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, and the general premise is that you have to write 50,000 words of original prose between November 1st and November 30th. You can have a dander here at: http://www.nanowrimo.org

I've begun to try and scribble down rough ideas for this year's competition, but in all honesty, I've not got a clue. I usually choose fantasy/sci-fi, but I've found it very hard to maintain pace... So I'm considering crime or wu-shu pastiche this year, although a friend stuggested I write a murder mystery/drama based in the workplace I'm transferring from. XD

So what are you guys doing / thinking about?
