To See And Not To See by a neurologist named Oliver Sacks, in which is recounted the experiences of a man whose vision is restored after 45 years of blindness. A fascinating read. Also rather long (printout is 20 pages). _________________ Keeper of The Remnant Minuon (cognomen Lucy, the Eaten One) and the Emissary Caeli |

Oliver Sacks also wrote An Anthropologist On Mars, which is a fascinating book about neurological issues like that - an artist who loses the concept of color due to a car accident, a couple stories about restored sight, a touretic brain surgeon, an autistic psychology professor, and more. I wasn't able to finish it before it was due back at the library, but the book is fantastic. _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

Nem's question in the Archeology RPG information thread reminded me of this:

Great, now every time I see Tali I'm going to think of Tori Amos, and every time I hear Tori Amos I'm going to think of Tali'Zorah.
Still... this is probably the most beautifully done AMV I have ever seen in my life. _________________ . Dubbed "Usagi" by AsA .

Um. Well. That's quite a sandstorm. Yes, I'd say very scary. _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^
