Today's XKCD made me giggle. It's so true. I remember hearing how New York was freaking out about hurricanes this summer and thinking "Please. It's a tropical storm. Not a Hurricane."
Aaaand this is why there are no metropolitan areas near our beaches. Safer. Fewer people die. All that. >>;; _________________ Keeper of Gaia and all the books on Earthsong

Meanwhile, This XKCD made me gleefully rethink my dietary concerns. :3 I love that comic.
I think people in major cities freak out about anything regarding nature, honestly. My son grows up almost entirely in Detroit, and so there are usually a few days spent 'acclimating' to the idea that bugs, animals, and plants all are actually useful in some regard. _________________ . Well, if you're lucky those few days will prevent him from discovering Poke berries. _________________ Keeper of Gaia and all the books on Earthsong

Falcon Cam.
A pair of Peregrine Falcons built a nest on a building in Massachusetts. The wildlife service put a camera in, and you can keep an eye on the nest on the web. The eggs haven't hatched yet, but they should be doing so soon. _________________ Keeper of Gaia and all the books on Earthsong

Woah, those links are so cool! Especially the vibrations one, it's incredible how fast the pattern changed at some points. _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

"Gamer Mom", a game where you play a mother trying to convince her family to partake in her passion, World of Warcraft. It's only a few minutes long, and is an interesting experience. ^_^ |

Oh dear.
That's . . . yeah. Good-bye any chance I had of sleeping tonight.
It actually sounds like a really bad reaction to PCP. I've heard several stories about PCP trips turning . . . violent.
