I didn't know where else to say this. I met someone on a website (not a dating website!!! a friend on a social website) and she was very nice and by the sounds of it, everyone who knew her had meant something to them too.
Next thing I know I log on to the website and I find out she had died from cancer. I didn't think I'd be affected like I am to the death of someone I only knew through a website. And even at that it was very little.
All I can say is I miss her and I hope she's resting peacefully. _________________ Yo.

Oh Dreamer, that's such a shame. I'm sorry for your loss. There are some people who touch our lives no matter how briefly or tenuously you knew them. _________________ He who does not eat cheese will go mad. ~ French proverb.

Everyone we meet affects us in some way, and the loss of them is always to be grieved. Where and how you met them and how long you knew them really doesn't matter in the long run, but what does is that she was, in some way, important to you.
I'm sorry hun. *hug* _________________ Keeper of Gaia and all the books on Earthsong

On a similar vein, I just got told my great-uncle died on Monday. He lived in Tazmania and I only met him once when I was small, but it was such a happy time for me that I'm quite sad about it. All I really remember of him is a vision of my tiny hand pressing against the windscreen of his car to stop the pebbles kicked up from the road breaking it and the taste of barley sugars. I've been missing him (and my great-aunt) for years, but the knowledge that I can never possibly see him again - well.
