No, they did not. The reason I became disillusioned was because Disney had never told me about what comes after the happily ever after part and i felt betrayed and misled. _________________ My printer thinks it's some kinda guitar hero because it won't stop jamming.

PCP's point stands even more when considering the sequels...We feel betrayed and misled! |

Well, that's because you're taking a mature point of view for something that was never meant for people over the age of eight. They're SUPPOSED to have happy endings, for the purpose Disney intended. The originals, were SUPPOSED to have scary endings, for a different purpose.
For the sake of harmony, consider them two different stories completely. I know that I was delighted to read the originals and discover the 'real' story. And I still like to watch the Disney versions. I consider them the 'abridged' version, with all the really nasty bits taken out.
Also, you can read Fables, which also gives a sort-of 'after the happily ever after'. _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

I quite enjoy Fables. It's a great graphic novel series. I have to admit I have a thing for the Wolf.
As for the Twisted Princesses, I think I love Mulan and Aurora best. What an interesting and unique idea this artist had. _________________ "Be great in act, as you have been in thought." ~William Shakespeare

I like the Mulan peice the best, because of the way Mushu comes from the tatoo.
P.S. The cricket is sooo cute.
Edit: Just saw Nala peice she looks awesome. |
