Seems like most of you got the memo before I even posted it. Voting is due by Thursday! If I get everything before then, the next WG will start sooner... _________________ Keeper of Zaebos' and Jormand's powers.

Abaddon is a rather ambiguos name in the Bible, IIRC. Some people interpret Rev 9:1-11 as meaning that Abadon is the angel with the key to the abyss in which the Dragon is supposedly imprisoned whereas others interpret it simply as meaning that he rules over the creatures of the abyss. Some people even use it as one of the names of the devil.
Caine is meant to be similar to Caine, who essentially murdered his brother for selfish reasons. It strikes me that a lot of what people do in service to their beliefs of right and wrong can actually be looked at as selfish through the appropriate ideology, at least when subject to any oponent slightly more complex than a genocidal maniac.
I was reading Paradise Lost recently
http://darkwing.uoregon.edu/~rbear/lost/pl1.html
So it struck me it might be interesting to play the ambiguity of the first type of character, with the addition of a comparably ambiguous moral system off against the more simplistic view of the second.

Kinda surrender the moral highground then though. _________________ Never forget,

I can't remember where I heard this, or the exact quote, but it was something like this: "An evil man will gloat before he kills you, but a good man will kill you without a word." _________________ ...In accordance with the prophesy.

That doesn't bode too well for the legal system. _________________ Never forget,

Not really. If you can stop a man from doing great evil by killing him, it can be the right thing to do. |

Doesn't it take two to agree to anything?
Switching tracks a little bit, do we know how many people have dibs for the next writer's group? _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^
