Tally noticed the captain relax minutely and relaxed in turn. She listened in silence to the Sara's news.

"Is there anything you can tell me?" Sara asked her, hardly daring to hope.

"No, nothing. The only things I can add is that I agree with you about Sam. I've never seen him like that. Ever. I also don't think it's a good idea to let people go to Clint separately. We don't know who to trust. Let it be a group physical, if at all possible." Tally leaned back pensively. She put her head in her hands.

"This is so not good..." she moaned.

"Good thought. I'll wait and we'll all go in together. Thanks, Tally, it's good to talk to you." Sara took a moment to compose herself and left Tally's room. She went to the next one along, which happened to be Jay's and knocked. "Jay? It's Sara."
No reply.

Sara would find a moderately messy room inside. The bed was unmade, a few articles of clothing were bundled into a corner, there were also several star charts on the wall, as well as a few posters of clouds. Jay was lying on the floor, face down, apparently at peace, and loosely holding a tennis ball. If she was turned over, her face would be pale and her lips tinged blue, indicating that she had suffocated. There was a small refrigerators behind the door, which would prove to be partially open upon inspection.

Sara fought to control herself.

She rushed over and placed a hand on Jay's shoulder.
She's warm. That's good. Right?
Turning the navigator over she saw that indeed, it was not good.
"CLINT!"
Turning back to the still figure on the floor, she reached out to check for a pulse and screamed as the body spasmed. Twitching and jerking at her feet.

"CLINT!" Tally heard Sara's panicked howl and reacted, disregarding the Captain's orders of staying in her cabin. She booted her own door open and raced down the hallway to Jay's open door to find . . .

Adella heard noises of a commotion, and she laid against the wall in her bed.

Tally hesitated for an instant, unsure what to do confronted with actual physical contact, but luckily some sort of visceral instinct kicked in, and the shorter woman hugged Sara tightly before drawing her out of Jay's cabin.

Still holding a shuddering Sara, Tally bellowed, "CLINT, GET YOUR SORRY BUTT OUT HERE THIS FREAKIN' INSTANT!!!" and waited.

((Jeeze Louise, people. He's on his way. ))

Clint bolted out of his cabin the instant Sara yelled. He snagged his emergency aid kit as he flew out the door, arriving at Jay's cabin within moments. Seeing her convulsing on the floor, he immediately opened his fak, grabbed an epi pin, pinned her down, and stabbed her leg with it. If she was still alive, it would help--for a while, at least, until he figured out what to do. If she was already dead, then there wasn't much he could do anyways.

Clint began monitoring her ABCs, checking for breathing and pulse. As it was, it looked like a heart attack--if he didn't find anything, he'd need to start the AED.

((Yes, she is. Ali got a bit carried away, she just died, she's going through cadaveric spasms /rigor mortis, which I don't think are quite so pronounced. XD But, yes, she's dead.))

Clint, feeling no breath and no pulse, immediately began CPR. After two cycles, he quickly ripped open her shirt and put the AED on her chest. "Thank goodness she's not a hairy man..." Clint murmured as he attached the nodes. "I'd have to shave her otherwise." He started up the defibrillator.

"CLEAR!" he said loudly, pressing the button. The machine reanalyzed and advised another shock.

"CLEAR!" he said again, pressing the button once more. The shock was delivered and the machine advised continued action.

This cycle of CPR/AED went on for several minutes, during which the rest of the crew would have time to gather at the door. Clint began to tire, though, and he nearly collapsed from exhaustion when he finally stopped. Sweat dripped from his brow onto her blue lips. The CPR had circulated her blood, so she hadn't developed rigor mortis...that would come in a couple hours.

He looked at her helplessly, tears beginning to well in his eyes. "She's gone."

Lindsay shuddered at the noises outside. She was scared, had no idea what was going on, and it sounded violent. Pacing, she checked the lock on her door once, twice, then a third time- before undoing it at peeking both ways in the hall. She followed the noise into Jay's room... Lindsay stood in the doorway watching, her hands over her mouth to keep the nausea in.

Sara realised she had to do something, to take control of a situation which endangered her crew and her ship. She let go of Tally and stood up straight, trying to regain some of the composure she would need to get a response. It would not do for her crew to see her so undignified!
"Everyone, please proceed to the Recreation room." Her calm voice seemed to cut through the chaos surrounding her.
She turned to Tally. "Thank you for supporting me, and I apologise for my lack of composure."
Pausing only to unlock Sam's door and tell him she required his presence in the Recreation room, she headed to the rear of the ship.
