Cool! I wonder if they've ever had anyone who had to control their powers with, say, the tuba? Or cross-stitch? Square dancing! XD _________________ Keeper of The Remnant Minuon (cognomen Lucy, the Eaten One) and the Emissary Caeli |

I know the Lady already has signature songs for all the characters but maybe that could be his 'unoffical' theme song. _________________ Britland as dubbed by AsA

An interesting question was brought up one or two pages ago: if the human power would be in will, then Nanashi's white-light-thingy would have been some sort of supernatural psychic power in addition to that. Hmmmm.... but could it not be possible that the force which thrust Bel away WAS her willpower? If concentrated enough to make a blow, then will would be enough to be more than a Trait.

Well...technically it is the heat and light energy resulting from a chemical reaction. But maybe yeah it was a bad example. _________________ dubbed "Cumba" by Asa.

I'd tend to accord humans some sort of limited precog ability. Human will's not that unique, back almost any animal into a corner and it'll fight, some of them a lot more tenaciously than humans - I think our greatest asset is our ability to predict what might in relation to a certain group of inputs. Though that said our power might be something we think of as relatively minor, for instance you can be trained to alter your own heartbeat at will, maybe we've just got supreme physiological self control or something like the Bene Gesserit / Matres. _________________ Never forget,

Limited precog would actually be a very useful power. Sure, you can only see one second into the future, but in a fight, that's more than you need. _________________ Mors Certa, Vita Incerta.

I know it's very unlikely to be right but I was always intrigued by the idea of dreams being unique, not just to humans, but to all earth related animals.
It's something so taken for granted that we would instinctively that any aliens would have it too but is that so? Perhaps no other alien has such an ability.
Still, even if that is so, what good is it? Well, it's no good at all anymore but that means nothing. Just as the sharp eyes of Gweldolyn's race have dimmed over time, so to has the human's abilities to use their dreams in whatever manner they were used for.
What that use might be (predictions of the future? The ability to create virtual worlds from nothingness? The joining of some sort of shared reality with any other human that is also asleep within at certain radius?), I cannot say but I love the concept that, at one time, our ability to dream was quite powerful. |

To be fair, it could be said that laziness (leisure time) is what created the arts, sciences, etc. So maybe dreaming is a way to collect bits of other people's ideas and make something new? We do have our fair share of 'in hindsight, that looks really obvious' moments, as a species. _________________ Dubbed "Fish" by Asa. Wren->Fish
