The whole flippin' movie was one ethical/racial joke, as you put it. Funny, but wholeheartedly stupid, ridiculous, and...stupid.
I'll probably never see it again, but I went with a friend I haven't seen in ages, so that made it fun, if you know what I mean. _________________ Fall down seven times, get up eight. --Japanese Proverb

Just had to put my 2 cents in that Kung Fu Panda was surprisingly full of awesomeness! Samurai Jack fans will love the beginning. _________________ My printer thinks it's some kinda guitar hero because it won't stop jamming.

I just learned that Jake Gyllenhaal is playing the Prince, in Prince of Persia.
I'm not sure how I feel about this.
*Trundles off to find facts to support this and hopes it's just a rumour.*

And they've named him. They've named the Prince! _________________ Britland as dubbed by AsA

On the plus side, they've got Bruckheimer producing and he's done some quality stuff. We just gotta hope *fingers crossed* _________________ He who does not eat cheese will go mad. ~ French proverb.

...How? O_o;; Please don't. This is a cult film--it's better left alone.
Though to be fair, it could possibly be good. It just needs to be done right. _________________ Keeper of Zaebos' and Jormand's powers.

I'll have to find some stuff about it online, so far the only thing I've found about is has been in a magazine. But it says it doesn't have the same director. That's not good, is it? _________________ Britland as dubbed by AsA

Here we go.
I know I have a long time before this comes out but I might have to boycott it. _________________ Britland as dubbed by AsA

Dunno if it's just that page, but it gave the distinct impression of turning into a chick flick _________________ He who does not eat cheese will go mad. ~ French proverb.

And why does their casting of the Prince make me cry. I love Jake Gyllenhaal, but I don't think he has the right look and voice to do the Prince justice; he's too adorable. _________________ Lithrath=Lisa according to Asa, though I respond to Lithy as well

Okay, we finally finished our house renos and I got to see Indiana Jones yesterday.
I wish I had gone to see Wall.E instead. Within the first 5 minutes I was like "ohhhhh, this is gonna suck" and I was right. It totally lacked any of the great Indy charm and fortuitous bumbling during the fight scenes (I can think of ONE occasion), most of its plot devices were borrowed from The Last Crusade, there were far too many supporting characters to care about many of them (Mac could have been left entirely out), Miriam and Jones were slapped back together with the finesse of a peanut butter sandwich, random kung fu natives (what the?), Spielberg thinks that aliens make anything better, and the final nail in the indy coffin...
Shia swinging through the jungle with the monkeys. Sheesh.
I hope they don't further degrade the series by replacing Harrison Ford with Shia and making more "Indy" movies, but they pretty much promised they would in their ever so predictable ending.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't brilliant. it was fun, but not up to standard, which really doesn't surprise me TBH - Shia LeBoeuf is just annoying. And he's in EVERYTHING these days.
I have too many summer movies to see. I'm going to have to get a month's season ticket at the cinema =D _________________ Keeper of Tristram's rings, and Felucca's very expressive ears. |

Oh but it WAS bad. Far worse than Temple of Doom, which is most people's least favourite I believe. But I won't go on about it any longer than I already have.
And speaking of bad movies, I saw a poster for a remake of Journey to the Centre of the Earth with Brendan Fraser in it... I don't have high hopes, but I'm willing to be proven wrong. _________________ Keeper of Nanashi's Vambraces and the Amethyst Trees.
