Another night sitting alone beneath the stars
Remembering the times this hill was only ours
I cling tightly to a tattered book of dreams
But every memory is never what it seems

I need to find a way to do more than survive
I can't put together how to really be alive
Every waking moment devoted to your fading memory
A hundred nights relived that I never did see

I walk beside my shadow on a snow-covered street

Trying to find purpose in a world so impure
