It was very, very biased, but the photos were intense. Especially that first one, I think that was my favorite.

I think my fave was the one of the US soldier almost getting shot. That sounds really bad >_< but I mean in the sense that it's a thousand to one shot both in terms of the lucky soldier and in terms of the lucky photographer as far as timing went, that and it's nicely framed etc.

Lots of neat stuff. Very sobering. Too much space wasted on sports things and festivals that happen every year. "2008 in pictures?" Blegh. Moreso "All the coolest shots I could find this from this year." Disjointed non-sentences. Leave me alone. It's late and I should be doing something else.

Well, he did take pains to say 'A story of 2008', not 'THE story of 2008', so yes, I do believe the point of this was to find the coolest shots he could. He didn't even put them in chronological order, which I don't really understand.

The other thing I don't understand is that he posted this with a month still left to go in 2008. True, it's December, but there's still three weeks left! (Well not NOW, there isn't, but there was when he posted it.) What if something really amazing happened on December 31? Does that not count because he already posted his 'best of 08'?
