Meh, I think it's amazing as long as it doesn't hurt the trees.
What I'm failing to mention is that I'm terrifed of heights. Three feet is my limit. Woe is me, I will never ride horses like our lovely Ponce. _________________ Keeper of Gaia and all the books on Earthsong

I'll never succeed at that either. But it doesn't really matter, I've never been able to climb trees well. People always had to help me up. _________________ Keeper of Gaia and all the books on Earthsong

I had no one to help me because my siblings were around the same ages as me and probably didn't have the strength to help me up. That or they wouldn't want to. I find my youngest sister is like that, she asks me to help her up a tree. I'm kind of mean back, but it's funny because my other sister and I were really outdoorsy and played outside a lot. Kind of tomboyish too. _________________ Yo.

My siblings are all older. They never helped me though, they'd scramble up and then point and laugh. I had to get my dad to lift me up to the first branch, and I'd only ever go a few branches higher than that. I've never liked heights - I was traumatized as a child by my bunk-bed. Even though there were lots of trees around when I was a kid, they were all the wrong kind for climbing - either too small or too bushy or thorny D: _________________ Dubbed Pants by AsA, via the way of the electric pants. |

I had the most amazing tree in my garden. It was planted at about the time I was born and it's a willow with well spaced branches. My dad built my treehouse up it so I had a ladder to get to the lowest branch and then could scramble up and sit on the roof of the treehouse. The branches were thick so no one could see me up there unless they were looking, so that was where I went to hide. I still go up there when I go back to visit my parents. I love that tree /nostalgia. _________________ He who does not eat cheese will go mad. ~ French proverb.

Tat was one of my childhood dreams, to have a treehouse. Never got one. Never had a tree right enough for one. I just had to settle for a tree for climbing, which thankfully I've found plenty.
I have a sudden urge to go hiking in the bush now. _________________ Yo.

I've never had a tree house either... though I suppose its because I live in the center of a city never had a garden. _________________ ~Earthsong RPG number 1 fan girl and fanclub member

The first house I lived in had five different trees, of varying shapes and sizes, all next to this easily climbable chain link fence. It was basically like growing up with a tree climbing tutorial course in your backyard. Don't think we ever got tall enough to get into the largest one before moving away. (a sitter did once) In another house a couple years later we had a GROVE of big climbable trees. It was tricky to get up into them, but once you did you could move all over the canopy from tree to tree from one end to the other. It was freaking awesome.
Never did build a house in one though. But for several locations we had hand built wooden funhouses on stilts, that would just go up in a corner of the yard which amounted to pretty much the same thing. These were also good to climb on top of. _________________ {[Number One Perpetual Half Lurker Pseudo Regular]}

Eh...treehouses aren't really treehouses unless done in the style of Caras Galadhon, Endor, Kashyyyk or Skettis.
For mourners of lost trees, there is one place where new trees appear every day! In the Wasatch Front, we can't get enough of tree, and when they build more houses, they clear out sagebrush and put in oaks and aspens and cherry trees.
We has a tree in the front yard outside my window-it has these weird frilly pink and yellow flowers that looked pretty awesome in the evening light-and they attracted hummingbirds! But then it got old and sick and it died. But we left part of its trunk, and it has a birdhouse on it now. _________________ I love children...but I could never eat a whole one.
