You keep making my jaw drop... are you sure these can't be canon? These are just so awesome, they make perfect examples of the variety of creatures on Earthsong!
Your sketches look better than some finished drawings I've seen, for serious! _________________ . Dubbed "Usagi" by AsA .

Do you draw the pieces separately and then compile them? The reason I ask is that the heads are sometimes really small compared to the body, and the lines are finer than the rest.
Also: May I ask if you're going to draw a clothing gnome based on my description? I brought it up before, but I want to make sure so I stop expecting it if it's not coming. _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

I actually meant to request an enlarged torso.
The ears are a little bigger than I wanted, by like, 25%, but other than that... wow. Love the expression. _________________ ...In accordance with the prophesy.

Ended up doodling a LOT during class. Lizardman anatomy is SO much cooler than human anotomy. Their ethics in healthcare so much cooler. Their interactions so much awesomer than East Asian interactions. And here are the results. (Mind you, I don't have a scanner and have long lost the ability to take good pictures of my art.)
His spikes seem to grow or shrink depending on my mood. As does the length of his snout.

EDIT: Apparently I can't decide on the anatomy of his feet either... XD Though now that I've noticed it, I'll probably gravitate towards the first picture. _________________ Keeper of Zaebos' and Jormand's powers.

Nem: You were so detailed about everything that it was almost confusing So feel free to rip the drawing apart - the hair, the shoes or lack thereof, robes (Grecian or monk style? I went a little Grecian in the picture), expression... any feedback would be great.

Awesome sauce, I has picture. Thanks ^_^
Robes and all are fine; I hadn't really imagined feet at all strangely enough, but obviously she'd be a bit uncomfortable without them. _________________ Never forget,

AHH!! Totally didn't see the Lady's post. XD Thought I'd give some direction if you needed more. It seems we were telepathically linked or something because it's like you drew him right out of my mind! I pictured about his shorts differently, but I think I like the jean shorts better. _________________ Keeper of Zaebos' and Jormand's powers.

LOL... okay, good. I was a little confused at your last one
Nem... you SURE there's nothing different you'd like? I find it hard to believe that I got it bang on with my first go, given how complex your species is. PM me any changes if you don't feel like discussing it in front of the children.
And I shall fix the ears on Jagger lickysplit
More coming soon!
[Edit! Got them done!]
Here's the newbies - feedback welcome

Not that this matters (at all), but I'd just like to specify that the 'j' in Jagger's name is pronounced as a 'y.' _________________ ...In accordance with the prophesy.

Hahah, yeeeeees! Awesomeness. ;DD Dang, I wish I could draw as good as that.
Then again, I also wish that I had the time to put into all of the practice I'd need to draw as good as that. Stupid college, stupid studying, stupid socializing, robbing me of all of my time. >_> Anywho. I'd imagine Dimble's goatee as coming down to more of a point, but that works great too. _________________ This is my old account, which I'm switching back to. I was Its_Chris_The_Dude.

Clothing gnome maybe later (I'm a little tight on time this week), and to answer your earlier question, I do draw them all in the same file, but what happens is:
I draw the head and look at it in comparision to the other characters. I think to myself, "wow...that is WAY to large" then shrink it down and continue to draw.
I'll do this several times throughout drawing a single character, since due to the nature of photoshop, I can't really use my peripheral viison to check AS I draw. Sooooo... you get tiny little lines someplace and really large ones other places!
And one pointy beard coming right up _________________ Keeper of Nanashi's Vambraces and the Amethyst Trees.

Looks very cool =)
I have to say, I didn't really have much of a visual idea of what Cochinell looks like, so that looks fine. I think possibly smaller feet, though. _________________ Keeper of Tristram's rings, and Felucca's very expressive ears. |
