I'm a man-loving man. That isn't to say I'm gay, just that I'm not afraid of stating that I appreciate the aesthetics of the male form, and tend to be rather huggy and such.

Ask* (Spelling edit) my roommates.

The only difference is with females, with whom I tend to be unabashedly standoffish.

Wow, that makes me sound more and more homosexual. I guess I'm just shy, but not with guys. I wonder if it's weird that I'm more intimidated by women than by other men who could kick my butt.

That sounds better. Unintimidated.

Haha! No, I'm gay and I'm the opposite. Heterosexual men tend to intimidate me, so I'm kinda quiet and standoffish with them. I'm comfortable with women, and I can appreciate their bodily aesthetics. I usually get along with straight guys who aren't the "RAWR! MACHO!" and can actually do a real hug as opposed to keeping everyone 10 feet away. If everybody just hugged more, they'd get along so much better...

So no, you don't sound gay. (To me.)

You're gay? And all this time, I thought you had the hots for Ponce. Huh. Well, I'm glad you see things that way. I also tend to get along with gay men fairly well. In fact, the only people I really don't get along with are those who intimidate me... namely, women.

Anyhow, I'm trying to figure out how I want my Bering captain's attitude to generally be. I'm going for the Lando Calrissian style of leadership with personality sorta thing... but it's hard to pin down. We'll see how it goes Surprised

I'm specifically trying to avoid the contrived, Spindrifter.

That's actually unfair, because as a character, there's nothing wrong with Mal. It's just, that the RP already resembles firefly in more than a few ways as it is. I'd really rather avoid more similarities if I can.

I realized that Leah is going to be very... unconventional for a 20s-themed RP... in the other direction from flappers. Seeing as how she's got uber-long hair, not cropped. And she'll have an altered sense of fashion, to accomodate the limited space and her professions. But it doesn't make for very accurate playing.

Thusfar my only complain about the Bering RPG is that source images for 1920's male dress are all but impossible to come buy. Thusfar I have about a million source images for high-end clothing (ie: formalwear), but common clothing is nigh impossible to find. The best one I found was of Ronal Reagan, but then who's to say that's common at all...

Anybody have anything decent? lol
