I have to be brutally honest - I actually want to do a Halloween fanart for VH, and have Jim dressed up as the Kurgan from Highlander. I was seriously reconsidering changing his codename to Connor MacCloud and I can't remember why! ><
It was a pretty lulzy idea at the time.
But there will be no Neo nazi vampires - it's a little bit too Prince Harry for me. |

Actually, I've been training alot lately, and in my training time (which is boring and filled with dead space, I draw alot. And one thing I drew is a nifty image I have of Bear vs. Jim. I took some liberties with Bear. He has a half-fro and some wicked chops. But, it gives you a clearer idea of how I've concieved of Jim. Oh, and they're both shirtless. So, yay for the ladies!

Actually, I had no idea what to do with his hair, but the "majority" of my inspiration for him came from an episode of the Boondocks where Huey fights Bushido Brown. There are alot of pieces of similar sorts of footage there. I'm more satisfied with how Jim came out than Bear, anyhow

XD The Kurgan makes everything better. It isn't how I pictured Bear, but all I was really picturing at the time was the torso... So there.
Although Jim is reminding me of Major John Sheppard from SG Atlantis in that shot, which is very much a good thing. It means I have a good pose reference when I get round to actually updating the cast sketches...
I now feel like I should be doing more VH art. Is after my midterms okay?
Vi - I think Anna should get bumped on the head, and then wake up to become super-suave with the menfolks for 24 hours. XD I want to see that. |

Well, if you had read Jim's bio it says...

So. Vi. Anna doesn't need to get flustered around Jim. Jim's not that kinda guy, incase you hadn't noticed. Not that he isn't 'straight', but seriously...  He's just kinda silly
In the actual drawing itself (done on 5x8 notepad paper) its a bit more clear that they're tattoos. Also: I'm not proud of my ability to draw celtic crosses. I really should do more research on them. :/

Jim rocks. Although I don't quite see the Sheppard comparison... looks a lot more like Ronon, actually, though if you called him Major Sheppard you might not have met Ronon...

I'm at Season 3; I just forgot which title came first. XD Well, the hair in the sketch is definitely Sheppard, so put Sheppard's hair and personality on Ronon's body, and you're halfway there. Does that mean that Barrett is Ford then?
Don't take it personal, Anna appears to be shy around big, tall men. But I still want to see Super-Suave Anna!
ps - When my midterms are finished up, I'll get started on more art for VH. Does anyone mind if I do a sketch of their character for a sort of mini-dramatis personae roster? |
