Yeah so did I actually. I got a pretty good chuckle out of it. It's just that the V for Change topic was my first series of real posts here on the forum, and it inspired a comment like that..... awesome.

Think of it more like this: The creator, owner, and artist of this amazingly awesome webcomic just put your thoughts on her entire webcomic's front page. That's ten kinds of awesome!

That's pretty universal -- it's really hard to detect sarcasm in a written environment. Sarcasm depends heavily on tone of voice, which we obviously don't have on the web. Some people who insist on using it wind up marking it deliberately, like this:
<sarcasm>Maybe we should all use sarcasm, all the time. It'll be great! No one will ever say what they mean, and only dumb people won't realize it. I am TOTALLY psyched about this idea.</sarcasm>
Or, occasionally, they'll just use a </sarcasm> tag at the end, so that you have to go back and figure out where they started being sarcastic. Either way, explicitly marking it like that really cuts back on misunderstandings.
