Nice one, Britland. Once, I saw a day-to-day desk calendar with 365 Bushisms, it was a leap year ^__^ _________________ Dubbed Cube by Asa

Okay, first order of business- yes, britland, that was a bushy quote.
and to my second order, this doesn't quite fall under "quotes" persay, but it's amazingly hilarious. And of course it makes more sense if you live in the US.
PS- you may have to zoom to get a better look at what the poster says...
PPS- to zoom; click the image, you zingos.
PPPS- may be slightly suggestive.
PPPPS-these are not my views, they are someone else's
PPPPPS- how many of these am i going to have?

I have a tiny book of genius which is my personal bible. It is called "The languid goat is always thin" and contains wonderful and obscure phrases from around the world. A few of my favourites are;
"Kindness to starfish is as wind in the desert" ~ Chinese
"She who wields a big wooden ladle rules all" ~ Bhojpuri
"One should not board a ship without an onion" ~ Dutch
They either make no sense whatsoever or are blindingly obvious ("Do not blow in a sleeping bear's ear") and I always get the wierdest looks when I say them ^_^ _________________ He who does not eat cheese will go mad. ~ French proverb.

some funny instances from my day. . .
Chem teacher: Terrorists have invaded this building! And they come to room 104, the chemistry room, and threaten to open fire and kill everyone in the room - including me, unless you can answer the question! What is the equation for enthalpy!?
Class: *stares dumbly back*
Chem teacher: We're all doomed. . .

'To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruellest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times.
Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be re-learned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war.
There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.'

"You don't need to worry. Every two seconds, somewhere in the world, a child dies of starvation. That means every two seconds, there is a story where the main character dies. That's a lot of horrible stories.
So if my death looks like a sad story to someone else, I hope those people will use their imagination to think of all the children who don't get special deaths. Dad, you don't have to worry about me. I'll be fine." - Kana Ushiro (Bokurano) |
