The road to wisdom?-Well, it's plain
and simple to express:
Err

but less

and less.

Superman: You're completely insane.
Vandal Savage: True, but that doesn't mean I'm not good company.

And now, because I don't believe any compilation of quotes is complete without it:
A witty saying proves nothing.

"I'm sorry I can't be as high-strung and crazy as the rest of you."
- Mai, Avatar The Last Airbender

Heh, was reading a chart thingy on a website and thought this was kind of cool:

1.2 x 10^38 J: total energy output of the Sun in ten thousand years = 2.9 x 10^28 tons/deca-millenium
4.184 x 10^39 J: 1 x 10^30 tons = 1,000,000 yottatons
1.0 x 10^40 J: one second's worth of output from a quasar = 2.0 x 10^30 tons/sec

Got myself annoyed today over a lot of little nothings, so I looked up quotations about anger. Here are a few of my favourites:

"How much more grievous are the consequences of anger than the causes of it."
- Marcus Aurelius

"Speak when you are angry and you will make the best speech you will ever regret."
- Ambrose Bierce

"Always write angry letters to your enemies. Never mail them."
- James Fallows

And then there's Phyllis Diller:

"Never go to bed mad. Stay up and fight."

I feel better now! Smile

One of my favourite quotes comes from a kindergarten I teach.. or help teach, I'm not a teacher by any means, but I work as a mentor in an elementary. So anywho, this girl, her names is lily, one day the boys were going around teasing people by calling them "baby." They kept saying things like, "does the baby sucks it's thumb" or "does the baby wanna it's bottle" or just "baby baby baby" over and over. Well they started doing this to lily so Lily turned to the boys and told them,
"Stop calling me baby cause it makes me think you're in love with me!"

So, yeah, one of the best quotes ever comes from a kindergarten, I've used this line many a time... okay I'm a liar but it still makes me smile.

I was walking around in the class I teach the other day and heard a great quote. It was a work day, in small groups, and as I was passing one I heard one guy say:

"Well yeah, but do we get points off for including an evil laugh?"

^_^

I have yet another from reading my lit assignments:

Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Tis from the poem do not go gentle into that good night by... anybody know? Anybody? Dylan Thomas. Good guy. Didn't personally know him though.

I was walking through town a while ago and caught three words from a phone conversation a girl was having.

"Shampoo and iniquity."

I may call my memoires that ^_^
