Gosh, I hope it was nothing really serious. I'm glad you got out so fast though.

The car absolutely sucks ><;;;;;;

Since I don't drive in the first place, I'm not so sympathetic about the car; but I hate hospitals, so I'm glad that by the time I got around to checking the forum, you were already out.

I'll echo what everyone else said - you think maybe it had something to do with the lack of sleep?

Better not to drive than to risk having the same thing happening when you're doing 70 down the freeway...

My sympathies. Hope they work out what's going on soon.

On the bright side you get to enjoy the nostalgia of walking everywhere, almost like being a kid again.

<_<

Not helping there really I guess. Glad to hear you got out though.

Heh, heh, heh. Likewise.

Besides, they have a valid concern. What if you'd had this "seizure" at the wheel? BANG! That's what. And since they don't know whether you'll suffer a repeat...

I totally agree about not driving, I can understand why it would be a terrible idea for me to drive until this gets sorted and there's a long period of time in which nothing else happens. I totally get that... the trouble is that driving is my hobby. ^^;

Ah well...yeah, I guess I'll just end up walking and taking the bus a lot more... and the hospital definitely did suck. Eight hours with no food, and finally when I buzzed the nurses' station they admitted that five people were all passing me around because nobody knew exactly how to approach the fact that nobody knew what was wrong. Wonderful, eh?

I'm home now. Other than this heart monitor...thing... I'm alright. The only flaw with the lack of sleep idea is...I've gone with much less sleep than this for longer periods of time before. I've also been much more stressed before, I've been much worse off emotionally than before.

That's the strangest thing. I'm happy, not very stressed, doing well in my classes, and getting enough sleep that I don't feel like I'm missing out all the time. It may be because I was breaking sleep into two segments a day, I guess? Maybe the EEG and MRI will turn up more results. **sigh**

I hope everything is okay, Tenshi, and I'm glad that you finally got that shower and hot meal.

Taking the bus isn't so bad - sometimes you get smelly people sitting next to you, but the fact that you get to listen in on people's conversations (and there are some doozies) more than makes up for it.

May you get tons of awesome driving video games in the meantime to fill your void!

Ah. That, we can pretend to sympathise with a little more, since it would be rather like someone taking all our plastic away.

Which might happen, given the oil crisis. But that's not related to this topic.

Alternatively, maybe you could make medical history! Wouldn't that be insanely cool?
Annoying and not-fun, but cool.

I ride the bus to college every day with my cousin. PCP's comment reminds me of these two guys we nicknamed The Aussie & The Stoner.

Right. And back on topic, when do you get the results from your tests back?

Well, the hospital forgot about me. I'm going to call and harass them tomorrow, to get the EEG done. I'm wearing an ECG monitor for 24 hours today (I get to take it off in 30 minutes, oh man am I happy about that).

I guess the MRI comes later...

Wow, I'm quite surprised that people still check moms for rings. Then again, I live in, what I'm told, is a very liberal city.

An ECG! I also had to be hooked up to one of those for an entire day when I was in high school. It was a pain in the butt. And being high school, people started making snap judgements - pregnancy, hemorrhoids (yes, hemorrhoids - it makes NO sense), etc...

Re: Moms and rings... it's not so much that I'm checking them for rings, as if I'm some sort of wedlock police; it's more like I want to see what kind of ring it is - wedding bands are pretty, and I like pretty things! So when I don't see one... it's kind of disappointing, both in the moral character of a world where out-of-wedlock children are commonplace, and because I missed out on a pretty ring.

And before people jump all over me for being judgmental and close-minded and easily offended (as happened yesterday for a similar comment), I just want you all to know that I have a high personal sense of morals, but I in no way wish to force them upon other people. That's not my job, and that's not my place.

What's an ECG look like?
