(this information is also later on in the thread, I'm just putting it here for easier reading later on down the road)
Here's the updated list:
1.) Dark Smurf (Smurf)
2.) spawnofjaws (Spegg)
3.) JackAce (Lope) (1)
4.) theBSdude (Thebes) (1) (2) (3)
5.) Ravenna (Rav) (1)
The topic of our writing this time through shall be "symbiosis and unity." Let me explain: Symbiosis is two unique beings living closely, or even united, so that both can survive and prosper. Without one another, these two beings are either in a much worse position to survive, or cannot survive at all. It doesn't have to be a physical relationship, it doesn't even have to be external. I want to read something about two completely opposite (or very dissimilar), unique entities banding together to create a better whole. There's a slew of other terms for that relationship, but I don't feel like breaking out the Thesaurus.
Your writing can be poetry, prose, or if you write better in screenplays and novel format, that's wonderful too. I'm leaving this one open, as the relationship itself becomes hard to portray the harder you try to portray it (at least, for me). So, you're free to write how to feel to write, but emphasizing the importance of the unity is your goal.
Alright, I'm going to put Aug 11 as the due date(one month from Monday). I'll actually be on vacation then, but will have access the the 'net and will check things from afar. Once all entries are in, I'll call for a vote, which will last two or three days (sent to me via PM), then we'll get the tally together and present the winner!

Crap. I just started reading Host. I didn't know what it was about. Turns out the main character is an alien living in the body of a human, and the human's personality keeps trying to take over. I think I can still manage, though.
Oh yeah- how long should it be? Just something between a sentence and a novel?

Usually we say longer than three sentences. You know, something substantial. If it turns out to be really long, consider hosting it elsewhere and posting a link, since white-on-dark can get painful to read after a while.
