Actually, since this is sort of on topic- i was recently considering a 6 year old's birthday party for my sweet 16.
*mostly because everyone I'm around already acts 6, and none of us actually give about what other people think.
And I don't care what you say! Slip- 'n- Slide rocks! _________________ Keeper of Tristram's soul.

Alright, really now- I only considered it for about three minutes, but it was worth the post anyway.... sry. back to topic-
i feel as if my parents are the oldest in my generation (compared to me, at least)
*how much older are your parents compared to you?
mine are like, *counts on fingers* 37! _________________ Keeper of Tristram's soul.

On a tangent that others have already ventured........ (not completely off topic)
I can get along with any age group, smaller, older... the problem usually is.... can they get along with me? The smaller bit is why I love babysitting so much. _________________ Dubbed Cube by Asa

Ah, I found the one I wanted to share:
http://www.xkcd.com/418/
I laughed real good when I read this one. I think that this is really something that you do go through when you move out on your own. I have this same problem, but with pancakes. As soon as I realised that I could put chocolate chips in them WHENEVER I WANTED, that was the end. There have been chocolate chips ever since.
It's like when you were a kid and you always said "when I grow up I'm gonna..." and then one day you realise you ARE all grown up, and that little kid that's still inside of you decides to take over and throws all that "responsibility" nonsense to the wind.

What's "responsibility?" Is it something you can eat? |

If only that were true Lady. Even when I moved out my mother had me so wrapped around her little finger that I still bought Flora Pro-Active margerine, brown bread and fat free burgers.
-sigh-
Maybe I should try chocolate chips in pancakes. _________________ Britland as dubbed by AsA

My parents didn't even know where I was most of the time growing up, a lot of the time they wouldn't even have been able to tell you what city. Moving out, little though they know it, has been comparatively a calming down time for me. Course getting home again makes me remember why they didn’t know where I was most of the time. _________________ Never forget,

Okay, Nem, now you have to elaborate. What on earth does that mean? Did you not live at home? Troubled childhood, or boarding school? Which doesn't explain how they wouldn't know.
See, with me, I just don't eat. Yah. I've moved out, but my meal plan include three meals a day, two of which are inedible. So I just don't eat them. Which is probably why I've lost weight instead of gaining it... _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

| Asa wrote: | | See, with me, I just don't eat. Yah. | Same here, pretty much, though not because the meal plan is bad. There is no meal plan. We do all our own cooking, in a tiny poky kitchen with a grand total of two hobs and one fridge... and though we eat a balanced diet (low fat, lots-o-fruit etc.) that's only when anything gets eaten at all, which is about four days every seven.
It's partly a result of cooking in that kitchen being a hassle, partly a result of the nearest supermarket being twenty minutes' walk away, and partly a result of being even more frugal than a Scotsman. _________________ You can't look dignified when you're having fun.

Continuing off my earlier post, I've hunted through my drives and unfortunately cannot find my list of birthdays. However, if you'd like your's on the list, PM it to me and I'll compile them for posting shortly. I only need the month and day. ^__^
In keeping with the Earthsong calendar, months will be referred to by their corresponding gemstone, i.e. January=Garnet, February=Amethyst, etc.

Lithy is happy that her uni is close enough that she can live at home and cart ridiculous amounts of fruits and tea to and from school. This sadly comes with the price of an early curfew and a constantly worrying set of grandparents and mother; Lithy never got much of a chance to act out (or much cause really...my mom says I've been as logical as a Vulcan since I was six ) _________________ Lithrath=Lisa according to Asa, though I respond to Lithy as well

Aww, I now have the mental image of a tiny vulcan Lithy ^_^
I never went through the teen angst stage. I had a good childhood and never saw the point in throwing tantrums. As a result of this my parents trusted me and let me bring friends home to crash on the living room floor! We always cleared up after ourselves, so it was never a problem. My brother and sister, however, did teen angst from the age of seven till they left home (my brother anyway, my sister is still in the midst of it!) _________________ He who does not eat cheese will go mad. ~ French proverb.
