Remember, this was left over from February.
This is a topic assignment, write whatever you want on love. If it's prose, has to be longer than three paragraphs, though. I'll post an example if you like.
Write whatever you want on love, as long as it's mentioned somehow in the piece! Be creative!
The players are:
1. Asa
2. Nu
3. Foot (aka LordLegion)
4. Allicat
5. Ponce
6. Dark Mirf
Only those that submit a piece will be able to vote, okay? So start writing! The deadline for submissions will be June 23, which is a Monday. _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

QUESTION: Does it have to be active love, as in the act of loving...or can it be something like being opposed to love. Does that make sense? *cudgels her dead brain* Sorry...still feeling slow... _________________ Fall down seven times, get up eight. --Japanese Proverb

It has to be about 'love'. Or love has to be mentioned in some way. I don't want to say too much, lest I curtail your creativity.
I'm going to post the poem I wrote for this back in February, so that y'all can see an example. It's not a submission though. _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

First entry! Nothing spectacular, more of a vomit of words than anything else, but it's all sincere, and appropriately all from my heart.
Musings on Love.
Love. A four letter word. Two vowels, two consonants. From the Old English word lufu.
Doesn’t really do justice does it?
Love comes in so many wonderful and varied forms, each one a minute jewel to be cherished and admired. The love we have for our friends, for our family, for a place, an object, a piece of art. The warm feeling that spreads throughout us when we think of our loved ones. The smile that twitches the corner of our mouths when we remember quite what it is that moves us so.
The jewel of family is warm and soft, reminding one of the glow of a banked fire and the smell of home cooked meals. Safe and happy times spent at home, on long lazy wintry days curled on a dumfly sofa with a hot mug of tea just sat enjoying the silence produced by a room full of people so comfortable with each other that there is nothing more to be said.
On the other hand, the jewel of friendship is bright and twinkling, throwing rainbows across the walls as the light strikes it, reminding one of sunny summer days in the park with a picnic and a frisbee. Good friends, good laughs and good times.
The love of an object, a work of art, or a piece of music is a jewel in itself. A tangible object which needs no paltry words from my hand to shape it. It is already fully formed, you have merely to find it.
The last Love, the Love which is the hardest to express in mere words and which outlasts and outshines any of the trinkets which have come before, is the Love we have for the one other being on this planet who makes us complete. Who we can never get enough of. Who doesn’t care if you miss them and ring them in the middle of the night because they were missing you too. The one who knows your every thought before you think it and can finish what you cannot carry on. The one who selflessly shoulders your burden and accepts it as their own because it hurts too much to see you suffer. The one who would do all this for you, as you would for them.
Love is precious. Keep it safe. _________________ He who does not eat cheese will go mad. ~ French proverb.

MY take? Dang, I still haven't gotten that far yet. Love is such an ambiguous topic. And I've never been that eloquent... (unless we're dealing with animal rights...) ...and this is turning out to be harder than I thought.
Any ideas? _________________ Fall down seven times, get up eight. --Japanese Proverb

Try just writing down what you think when you hear the word love, any memories, images or feelings you get. That'll give you the foundations of a more structured and coherant piece of writing. _________________ He who does not eat cheese will go mad. ~ French proverb.

Okay. Actually, I think I may have an idea here...with some tweaking, it may work. _________________ Fall down seven times, get up eight. --Japanese Proverb
