No, not a ton of people, but that's okay. I didn't put a time limit on the poll, so no worries. Thanks to all of you for voting though. I really am sorry for changing the names around, but my fellow "band" member decided she didn't like the ones I had put on there. Please, though. Advertise this poll. She keeps bugging me and asking me how many votes we have on what names and such. So, tell people to get over here!

AM is the initials of our first names. Our real names, that is. It also just happens to be the name of a radio thingy (I'm not quite sure of the exact terminology, radio wave, maybe?) So I figured, band=music=radio. It all comes together. Oh yeah. I don't know how to link something to anything else. Maybe a quick overview?

AM in radio is Amplitude Manipulation, where they change the amplitude of the wavelengths to make music. FM is Frequency Manipulation where they change the frequency of the wavelengths. AM wavelengths are about 1 meter long (I think) so they can travel really far, but their quality isn't very good because bits of the wavelength are distorted and messed up by shrubbery etc--which is why they're usually limited to talk shows. Their length is also why radio antenna are long. FM is higher quality but has a shorter range because the wavelengths are smaller and are more easily broken up.

AM can also stand for "Ante Meridiem" in a 12-hour clock, so, maybe it has too many connotations, if confusing people isn't your goal. ^__^ Some bands try to have names that can mean various things though, so it's up to you...
