I have the best gosh-darn photo of my brother, but it's a 35mm print. And I don't have a scanner.
My brother, Kapyrna, also took this AWESOME, kick-wikka (it's a bandgeek thing) photo of me playing the cello. I'll see if it's on his deviantArt. _________________ The universe is really interesting. It's also screwed up, but that's what makes it so interesting.

I went home for three weeks over Easter, travelled a few thousand miles, wrote an essay about Davidson's rational animals, watched Buffy season 3, ate some decent food for a change, went down the gym a lot, and read lots of books. _________________ Never forget,

What on earth is Davidson's rational animals, mini-sized version if possible? Otherwise sounds like a nice time. _________________ If you're reading this, you haven't quite made it to the next post. |

Davidson once argued that animals such as dogs are unlikely to be able to hold a belief that a thing is that thing, and thus that they are unable to qualify as rational animals since they couldn't really hold propositional attitudes. His argument relied upon the assertion that in order to distinguish that belief from a belief about say space monsters the dog would have to have some conception of what a tree was, and that conception would, in his argument, rely upon a vast network of related beliefs, such as trees not coming from space and abducting cows, that he found it unlikely the dog would be possible of possessing.
Annnddd I can't say much more than that since it'd mean I couldn't submit my essay. <_< _________________ Never forget,

Ah, that makes sense Nem. I'm actually sort of interested in that kind of stuff.
As of right now, though, I'm more interested in NEW YORK! There's no computer at the hotel so here I am, in the apple store, typing on a mac book air just to say hi to you all. It's fun though, we just went through Tiffany's and oh my gosh it was amazing. We spent all yesterday just sort of exploring though, going this and that way and eating at sketchy places, etc. It's a great experience! _________________ If you're reading this, you haven't quite made it to the next post. |

Hey... wow... it's been a very long time! Forums are spiffy! Really, really spiffy! I haven't been around for all of these changes, and am very sorry I missed them.
I've been "up to" so much... college has been rough this semester. Normally I can make it home.. but not this time. Being an hour away from home and having to stay on campus kinda stunk. But, I'm home now... and... y'know that feeling you get when you step off a treadmill after being on it for a while? Like suddenly you stopped but the world didn't? It's kinda like that. I'm feeling this itch like I should be doing something, but can't remember what it was. Oh, well. I'm sure it shall pass.
Glad to be back, though. _________________ Wherever you go, there you are.

Ah. One of those things I missed.... lol. The new forum looks AH-mazing. And the new... well, everything.
And before I get too much off-topic.... I survived Advanced English Grammar and Composition! That's mostly what I've tried to keep up with this semester. If I never, ever hear the name "Wilson Follett" again it will be too soon. Or Garner. Or the abbreviation OED. Ack. That probably means something to Tinman. _________________ Wherever you go, there you are.

If I ever hear the abbreviation DEJ (Double-entry journal) from my comp-lit teacher again...... *has a seizure*
I've added a new item to my radar: drumline. Hopefully I'll be able to survive the season... the drums I want to carry weigh in at a third my own body weight. And that's NOT why I want to carry them. _________________ The universe is really interesting. It's also screwed up, but that's what makes it so interesting.

Fable! *hugs* Indeed it has been awhile.
Good luck with drumline, Storm. Which do you want to carry? That sounds like the tritoms or something... I just play the kinds that don't move. lol. _________________ Wherever you go, there you are.
