Meep! Hijacker! Hehe, I don't mind really.

Rama, it will be cast in a chromium alloy. It's cheaper than silver and more hardwearing than pewter and I don't tend to wear much gold jewellery. And I feel I should know all this about octopodaes!

I spoke to my Dad just now and he says that the casting guy is very optimistic about how it will come out. The chromium guy will pick it up on Friday and then it will be 7-10 days till it's finished. Then Dad has to show it to his coworkers, then he can post it to me Rolling Eyes

He's going to drill my initals into the reverse of it and take some molds so if we want to we can make another one.

As for the sketch, my programs not being fully upgraded after the computer switch is what happened. I've yet to install the damn scanner, as I just can't seem to get the drivers to work, which is a mystery as they always worked fine before.
As for the digital sketch I personalized the old machine, and when I realized that I'd have to do it again I kind of scrapped anything I was working on because it'll probably look that much better when I can work with the usual tools. I know it's just a starting sketch, but I'm something of a procrastinating pedant. I've gotten a new big sketch block too and I'm drawing some poses, so there are things going on, just not visibly at the moment.
Not telling you about it is not acceptable though. Sorry about that. Embarassed

Now to give this show back.

Chrome or silver is more stylish that gold. Why that is I do not know.
If you'll wear it at work it certainly is a big plus if it's hardy, and the price must always be a factor for the economically sane, that's fore sure.

Well, there's still time to learn more, and you just learned something else about them. If you forget you have a ring to remember it by. Very Happy

It's the waiting that's the real killer, isn't it? Now I'm just that much more interested in the final result.

Getting a cast of it is a nice idea, though. If you want one for the classy job party in a couple of years you can always recast it in silver or something to go with the formal wear.
