So if Nanashi has all the powers of all the characters, can she turn into a dragon too? I'm sure she probably won't, but can she, in theory? What do you guys think? _________________

Does she have the powers of all the characters? I thought she had some but mostly different ones.
And Nanashi already is a dragon. _________________ Britland as dubbed by AsA

I don't remember her having the powers of everyone else. Must not have been reading the right stuff. _________________ Mors Certa, Vita Incerta.

Yes, Nan has access to multiple powers. Note all the many different augment stones in her bracers.
I suspect that particular power would be much harder for her to use, and potentially fatal due to not having quite the same initial anatomy as Felucca's species. _________________ Keeper of The Remnant Minuon (cognomen Lucy, the Eaten One) and the Emissary Caeli |

But does she definatly have that power? I know she has lots of them but I don't remember seeing purple on her bracer. _________________ Britland as dubbed by AsA

Nanashi, having a Siderean element soulstone, technically has access to all of the powers that any child might have. As we saw in the first chapter however, using these powers takes a lot out of her, especially using the power particular to the Stonekeeper's task which is the removal of the soulstone (via shattering it) and sending the host home.
Now... can she turn into a dragon then? No (good point though, I hadn't really thought about it before). She's still got a human body which isn't designed for that kind of transformation. So... if it had been Felucca who was transformed by the Sidera, yes, that would be one of the powers available.
Also, the stones on Nanashi's bracers/vambraces (whatever else you wanna call them cause frankly I'm tired of being corrected about it) aren't limiting her powers to those particular elements - they're helping her focus certain ones that she's chosen due to their use. So yes, she could use a power that she doesn't have an augment stone for - but it would be harder for her to do so.
And with all that said, I present you with the question you should have asked yourself a long time ago: "why did she have to use the Siderean powers to shatter that rock?"

Because Earthsong has a better system than most comics, so you can't just jump ten yards in one bound slash through rocks with a sword (even really, really magical ones). And if she had to use magic to save Tengu, she might as well be flashy. _________________ Mors Certa, Vita Incerta.

I would be willing to guess at 'because they're the only (known) powers that are offensive enough in nature to have done enough damage to save tengu - so far all the powers we've seen are either passive (sight enhancement, for example); active, but not explicitly damaging (metal shaping, shape shifting, phasing etc); or active, but only mildly damaging (draining, fire-making, wind control) - none of these powers could smash a rock quickly and viciously enough to save tengu in that situation. _________________ Keeper of Tristram's rings, and Felucca's very expressive ears. |

Tengu's power is pretty damaging, as is Zaebos's, but I guess neither of those would have taken care of the rock quickly enough. However, I would be very surprised if there weren't more damaging powers out there.
Besides, Nan has telekinesis. Couldn't she have used that? |

I'd guess because A) she was angry and wanted something to go boom.
And B) If she had just moved the rock with telekenisis Richard would have just picked it up again. _________________ Britland as dubbed by AsA

| It's not like he has any shortage of rocks to pick up, and the Siderean power is much more strength consuming than the other powers, is it not? It'd be silly to use it just to see something go boom... |

K'Thonya and Tengu comment that Nanashi used the Sideran powers twice and I guess it is strange that she destroyed the rock when the debris created by tht explosion could be potentially dangerous to someone of Tengu's stature.
I wonder, is Nanashi fully in control of the Sideran powers, or are they addictive somehow? Or is the Lady just messing with us? _________________ Britland as dubbed by AsA

Yeah I thought so, she's been using those powers so long she must be in control. Tsk, I over think stuff all the time...and underthink....how do I manage both?
And I just noticed I have a higher post count that you Tam, I wonder how long it'll stay that way? _________________ Britland as dubbed by AsA

Neither Tengu's nor Zaebos's powers as seen so far could have smashed that rock.
Though why the TK was not used IS somethign of a mystery... _________________ Keeper of Tristram's rings, and Felucca's very expressive ears. |
