Thanks for the heads up, I'll insert something in the middle to advance time shortly.

Edit: Three hours or so is short. Kinda. <_<

Well, when you're meditating, time does fly. ^_~

Some reference work for the 05/09/2010 A-RPG post:

http://ww2010.atmos.uiuc.edu/(Gh)/guides/mtr/cld/cldtyp/home.rxml [Cloud Types]

http://www.eoearth.org/article/atmosphere_layers [Atmospheric Layers]

Question: Is 6" x 6" (15cm x 15cm) too small for a hand print reader? Too large? I have no experience with them, and the internet is restricted, so I can't look it up online. Let me know your thoughts, please.

I think if I apologize any more someone is liable to run me up by my toenails. So, here it is. :\ C'est fini.

Awesome info. For the handprint reader, I'd say measure your own hand. You've got big hands; if your hand fits then one like, say, mine definitely will. Off to read the post...

A quick measurement of my own hands reveal that they're nearly 19 cm from longest fingertip to the back of the palm. Ergo; my entire hand would not fit onto a 15x15 screen, though on the instances I've seen people use readers in real life they've not used the back of the palm. Maybe the 4 fingers and thumb contain enough individuality for it not to matter?

So, probably 9"², or just a bit below 23cm².

Seems like a reasonable size. I've yet to meet someone with hands 4 whole cm longer than mine, but you'd probably want some margin, considering that it's meant to be used on short notice and during quite a lot of stress, so a big panel would most likely be welcome.

Will post something tonight, but now I'm off to lunch.

Short post, but the idea was to assert Arvid to-the-point personality, so meh. The original post doesn’t seem to be showing. Sorry about that.

Rama, were those questions thoughts or speech?

Damn, yeah, that was all spoken. Why didn't I put citation on that?

So yeah, that was all speech.

Thanks for calling that Asa.

Apologies if I've misquoted anyone, though I don't think I have. I was reading on my phone and typing on my laptop without the use of actual internet. Filching some free time while at work.

New website up, a Wiki thing for the RPG. Going to work on it as time permits, so that we can all have access to information wherever we might be at. Admittedly, this will help me most of all. ^^;

ESArchaeologyRPG

I'll try and get some stuff updated on it tonight. If anyone wants editing access, let me know.

Sorry I disappeared my sister got married and then somehow October totally got away from me. I think it was the work move and deadline craziness that killed me for computer use. Anyways I'll pop online tonight and read everything and actually post. Again sorry to have disappeared.
