Been listening to a bit of folky music lately. David Bazan, in fact. Here are a few of my favorites. First is the one I've had on repeat for days.
"Hard to Be"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXxEr5Aw5_0
"Options"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFUURcvq8Ok
"I Never Wanted You"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NYq5hzbrSo
The last one really isn't what you think it is. There's one bit that struck me most.
You know it isn't like me to be inflammatory.
But rather than let you think that I was so naive
I'd have you believe
I never wanted you.
Anyway, a friend shared David Bazan/Pedro the Lion with me. See, Bazan was going through a crisis of faith (where he lost his), and this friend wanted me to listen to the music while I found mine. It's odd to say, you'd have to understand our friendship, maybe. But the music, it does touch something I'm not strong enough to see on my own. _________________ . Dubbed "Usagi" by AsA .

Last: The Lost Christmas Eve by Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Current: March of the Witch Hunters by Stephen Schwartz (from Wicked )
Next: I Want It All by Queen (from We Will Rock You)
Hm... at the time that I read this forum... thread... thing... whatever you call it (obviously I'm new to this whole forum thing >.<) I wasn't listening to music (I was just about to!).. Sooo, in order to mix it up a bit I put all my songs (all 2047 of them... whether I listen to them or not...) on shuffle and this is what I got... (I really like all these songs too! ^^ And apparently I like musicals ) Oh, well... uhm... I'm probably babbling or off topic... Bye! |

I'm listening to Beethoven's ninth symphony, specifically the fourth movement, over and over and over again in my head. I had it entirely memorized in high school, then didn't listen to it for a while, and now I've got it mostly remembered, but the last stretch before the end is an overlapping repetition of the same verse about five times, and I can't tell them apart to pick a part to follow. So I found a complete version of the score online and printed it out so I can follow along. ^___^ _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

O'Carolan harp tunes, specifically Blind Mary. I may just have to learn how to play this.

More 60's music. 'Darkness Darkness', which is decidedly more funky than the name may imply. Everything was funky in the 60's. Man. >_>
