My personal theory is that people who have personalities more like cats will prefer dogs, and vice versa. Sort of an opposites attracting thing.
And yes, it is hard to divorce the concept of kitten/cat and puppy/dog since they're the same thing. Younger yes, but still the same. Besides, there's really not much to discuss about kittens and puppies in particular other than to say yes, they're cute. So there.

Tyris, I defy you to find someone who identifies as a cat person, but prefers puppies to kittens. Ditto for the other way around. _________________ Keeper of The Remnant Minuon (cognomen Lucy, the Eaten One) and the Emissary Caeli |

Preferably in the form of statistics and/or the name and address of said person. And if you could write it all out on cupcakes and have it delivered to my house, that'd be great.
But I suppose I should get back to the topic.

I might even choose one over a kitten. I adore Otters. _________________ Keeper of Gaia and all the books on Earthsong

While I'm a big otter fan (see the fictional stories of Redwall), I've seen little kittens less than a week old, but had to restrain my friend and myself from squeezing them.
So yeah. Kittens is for the win. _________________ Dubbed Langhorn by Asa

I still do, for the pure enjoyment of it. ^^ Though, the plot is extremely repetative, and I haven't read two or three newest books. _________________ Keeper of Gaia and all the books on Earthsong

That's why I stopped reading them. The first few are still very good, especially Mossflower, but the newer ones had all gotten formulaic. Which is a shame, but I adored them when I was younger. Taggerung came out the day I left for a weekend convention, and my mom met me at the bus to give it to me. I didn't see anyone the whole weekend, and I read it through the night. ^_^ I might pick one up again some day. _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^
