For those that don't know what the writer's group is, it's a group that (used to) meet every month. People sign up, then I'll give them a topic; once the topic is released, you'll have roughly one month to complete a short piece on that subject or in that style that is given. At the end, we vote on who we feel wrote the best while pertaining to the topic.

I was hoping to get involved in the fiction-writing side of things here, but I'm always rather... cautious about posting my original fiction on t'internet. This seemed like a good way to get involved in writing life here, but then I went away for a weekend... (All my stalker-like lurking, wasted!)

Is there no hope of expanding the number of entrants by one?

We like to keep it down for simplicity, but there's nothing stopping you writing for the prompt anyway. It just wouldn't be up for voting.

Alternatively, Mane can decide to expand the roster. At the height of active participation, we actually had two going on, staggered two weeks apart. If we can keep it alive, that might happen again.

As a last resort, stay alert next month and put your name at the top. ^_^
