Well, I liked this thread...

Same as before (please tell me if I missed something):
1. A riddle is posted.
2. Someone answers it, and if it is correct then the riddle giver confirms and...
3. The person who answered posts the next riddle. Wash, rinse, repeat.
3a. If the answerer does not want to post the new riddle, that's fine, but please inform us when you post.

Additionally:
1. If no one can think of an answer for over seven days, the person who posted the riddle will post the answer and another riddle.
2. No riddles based on puns that require a change in spelling. (ie. What's black and white and red all over? A newspaper, it's black and white and read all over. is not allowed.)
3. (NEWER) If the person whose turn it is fails to give a riddle for one week after the winner is announced, then the next riddle is up for grabs.

Put your musings on the answer here, it helps us all to get the answer. Feel free to ask for clarification if the dang thing makes no sense. Any further suggestions for rules or guidelines please post or PM me.

Since I don't remember the last riddle...
Ten buttons ye must push in a sequence I've contrived, but ye wouldn't guess it if I gave ye thirty lives.

Hint:
It's not an object. That one I'll just give everyone.
Further hint:
The sequence is made up of the following buttons in some combination:Up, Down, Left, Right, B, and A.
Hint I got when I guessed incorrectly: That must not have been the proper sequence. Perhaps if you concentrate a little harder, you'll figure it out. Originally in red, not italicized, but meh.

This was originally a puzzle in a game I played, I sort of figured someone else would know it from the game, sorry...

Would you like a hint? I was given one as part of the original, and another when I answered incorrectly. But I'd like someone to tell me how to use spoiler tags first, just so you can choose not to read them if you wish.

And yes, it is a password, though that's not the answer. It's not a phone number, and...I'm not entirely sure how it could be related to clothing.

I have the clue, the hints and the answer. What I do not have is the why. Why is that answer the right one. Please explain it to me, please. *makes sad eyes, while a single, gorgeous, artistic and above all pleading tear rolls down one cheek*. I fear I may go crazy otherwise.

Yeah, that. ^_^

It's a password, but it's in the context of giving you thirty lives, (I just thought that was fluff the first time around,) which makes it a cheat code. Plug in the left right up down B A stuff and it's a console cheat code, the red hints that it's a Nintendo code.... Then you just compare it to things with those parameters.

Is it smoke?

Smoke could be considered thrown. Since it is probably a fire based on fossil fuels then life would equal carbon, ‘once more knows me’ breathe it in, not sure about the bone breaker but widow maker and life taker. Smoke kills, get an alarm
