I'll be honest, I don't have the attention span to go searching for good music, this means I don't have a particularly good grasp on what kinds of music are bad and how much of it exists, but I do know that the majority of it that I run into out in public is cringe inducing.

Usually due to lyrics. At some point in the last several decades it was decided that musicians didn't need to be smart anymore to write songs. Don't need to be insightful or artistic or whatnot. It occurs to me that a big reason why the older songs seem better is that only the REALLY awesome songs are still being tossed around these days, and those days probably were filled with garbage too, but looking back it still SEEMS like nothing compares to modern levels of suck.

In any case, I much prefer to skip the lyrics altogether. Don't really care for the classical though. Needs to be faster. Techno/Trance type stuff. Especially when mixed with piano, oddly enough. Weird combo.

I just saw that Tinu was listening to 'The way I are' by Timbaland. I hate that song. Very Happy

You know what else music I hate? Soundtrack music that's too dramatic when it shouldn't be. Not only is it bad music, but it can ruin a film!

"Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust" has the. Worst. Freaking. Score. EVER. Shocked
I would've liked that movie except, A. it was just too weird, and B. it had a most execrable score. The score killed the movie.

The animated movie Titan AE could have been way better if just a few of the songs had been swapped, just a few!

Ladyhawke is another movie with weird music. It somehow seems to work because of the whole 80's vibe-thing, but it's still somewhat atrocious. Very Happy

You have to wonder what these producers are thinking.

Those annoying songs at the begining of a TV series that you hear too many times, some are OK, I'm talking about those really annoying ones... Spongebob, for one (though I know many people disagree with me on that one.

Oh man. I remember watching Ladyhawke in one of my classes. Everything went well for the first few moments...and then that loud, blaring, overwhelmingly 80's music started playing.

Ah, the 80's...nothing quite like it. And that's a good thing.

Yeah, it was the same when I first saw it. xD I was only nine or ten, but I was still like, "Wut? Shocked"
And yet it's still such a lovely little movie.

That "ain't no valley high enough, etc." song is the bane of my existance.
It's so... So... Eugh. *shudder*

"Ain't No Valley" is the one song I would go back and make Jesse McCartney not do. Assuming such a song existed, of course.
