They come...

The last good MechWarrior game was, IMO, MechWarrior 3. There's something about it that 4 just didn't capture. It's about time for Giant Stompy Robots to make a return to the PC, I just hope it's a good one. _________________ Never forget,

I will wait with bated breath, yet a guarded heart. I agree, MW4 really didn't do it for me. MechCommander 1 was pretty cool, though. I'm currently playing through it again for my Giant Stompy Robot fix, since MW3 crashes to the desktop somewhere in Op 3 on my XP (SP3, even WITH compatibility options) box...
Edit: Fixed a word's spelling. Shows me for posting at 3AM. Er, hey, wait... _________________ . Dubbed "Usagi" by AsA .

Bated. You wait with bated breath.
The last MechWarrior game we ever managed to get working was MechWarrior 2 (ah, the days when certain games were only compatible with certain video cards!) and... well, it was good, but not great. Although part of that may have had to do with the fact that we were trying to figure out the controls and objectives without a manual or even an instruction card. Such are the perils of buying second-hand games. _________________ You can't look dignified when you're having fun.

All I can say is that it looks very promising. I shall be anticipating the release with high expectations. It has shifted my game release wants around a little bit to make room. My personal list is now Red Faction for PC, and then MW5. Anything else was forgotten in the wake of several hundred missile explosions.
