Hello. I haven't posted in here for so long.
Soez, I'm still doodling all the time, but I tried to do something a little bit more, dunno, in depth? I'd just like continued advice on how to improve. I've got no notion of ever being particularly good, but I would like some constructive criticism on this one if you can spare it!

That's really good! The only thing I can comment on without being hypocritical is the angles of her arms. On the right arm, it looks like her upper arm is curving away from her, instead of a straight line. On the left arm, it looks like she's missing half her forearm. You probably meant that to be foreshortening, but you're not quite there yet.
Her torso's really nice, and I envy the way you made her head look in proportion to her bust. I always have problems with that. _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

If you need help with figures and stuff to practice on, I recommend posemaniacs.com immensely. It helped me anyway. _________________ Yo.

Her neck would look more elegant if you gave it some basic muscle structure - particularly the sternocleidomastoid, which is the muscle which runs between the back of the jaw and the sternum and clavicle (as the name suggests), and you could do with making sure her breasts are level with one another on her chest (though they won't be level with the horizontal due to the tilt of her upper body) and evenly sized.
It may be a stylistic feature, but her head it quite a lot too big for her body assuming normal proportions.
Otherwise, this looks pretty good =) _________________ Keeper of Tristram's rings, and Felucca's very expressive ears. |
