Well, there's the topic about hair going. And we were twiddling the ole 'burns while posting in said hairy topic and thought this would be fun to put before the forum.
Soooo... facial hair...
Is kissing a man who doesn't wax his moustache really like eating an egg without salt?
Is a beard ever socially acceptable on a woman?
Should it be?
Does your evil twin have a goatee?
Why is Frank Beard the only member of ZZ Top (pictured above, for anyone who didn't know) without a beard?
Are we running out of sensible questions? Were there any in the first place?
For the record, the Tyrisian jaw bears a pair of mutton-chops extending down just past the corners of the mouth. They're kept at about half an inch long, i.e. long enough to cover the skin but not long enough to be bushy.
For reasons totally unknown, the occasional ginger hair is found in among all the black ones. _________________ You can't look dignified when you're having fun.

Facial hair FTW! I hate shaving down to the skin-it's irritating no matter how you do it, but trimming facial hair is comfortable and easy to do, so... _________________ I love children...but I could never eat a whole one.

I am the twin with the goatee.
Obviously, the band was originally considering the name "Beard and the Beards" but scrapped it for something even less sensible. _________________ The Keeper of Gwen's temper/K'thonya's tastes,

I've only recently grown my own facial hair, but I like it. I'm getting used to a mustache, though... I used to only have a goatee. We'll see how this turns out. It really does catch everything, though. _________________ Keeper of Zaebos' and Jormand's powers.

| I loathe my facial hair. It's just enough to be noticed and laughed at, especially when I can't shave. -_- I've always wanted a beard, though I suspect I'd look a tad weird with one. |

I'm trying to convince my dad to grow a beard just cause it would look funny.
And I can grow a mustach in five seconds! (Really) _________________ Britland as dubbed by AsA

Tam, you should totally grow facial hair! The worst that will happen is that you look awkward for a couple days. If it looks too weird, then just shave it off. I love how hair is so mutable... _________________ Keeper of Zaebos' and Jormand's powers.

Perhaps you don't understand, Mane....it just doesn't grow. It stays sadly small and ugly.
Right now, I won't be able to shave for another 6 weeks. If nothing grows by then, it'll be a lost cause. |

Just wait a few years. It'll come eventually. I know a graduating college senior who just this past year was able to finally grow a beard. _________________ Keeper of Zaebos' and Jormand's powers.

Or I'll donate some of mine-I've been able to grow a full beard since I was 14-and I was getting facial hair at 11. _________________ I love children...but I could never eat a whole one.

Ah, beards... now here's something I actually have experience with! Though, I did once have long hair... I just feel awkward joining a hair discussion with women.
Like CBB, I was growing facial hair just into my teens, and had a full beard within a year or two of that. For quite a few years I let it grow out without trimming, which made me look mildly Amish...though I never got carded for vice goods, which may have been a plus.
Once I started having to go clean shaven for work, I grew to almost enjoy the style. With some learning curve to the "not looking like a dork from the 70's" it was a struggle to switch, but my ex-wife sure seemed to prefer it when I didn't tickle her nose when we kissed...
And yes, beards catch all food particles...
Once I can start growing it out again, I plan on keeping it trimmed into a thin line down the jaw. It will be angled (not curved) at the curve in the jaw, but not like a dagger edge or anything. More like a sharper curve, I guess. I may, or may not, grow it into a goatee at that point...but generally when I keep that beard style I have. Then again, that was years ago...
Seems I haven't answered any questions, sorry! Tamir, one of my best friends locally is the same way. He can go for a week or more without shaving. On the other hand, I can only go two days. Another friend of mine has to shave every morning to be clean-shaven for work, and even then has dark shadows on his face by 5PM. Five o'clock shadow indeed. _________________ . I can answer this question: No it's not like eating an unsalted egg, but it does tickle. ^__^
As for bearded ladies...the oddity of it only extends from our set parameters of beauty and thus is only socially unacceptable due to said constructed parameters. Besides, many women start getting chin scragglies after menopause; if they're neatly kept, why not let her keep them.
And for the record, Lithrath does not have facial hair. If she was a he and did, (s)he would probably alternate between clean shaven and cutely scruffy based on how the men in her family look with facial hair. _________________ Lithrath=Lisa according to Asa, though I respond to Lithy as well

I dislike my facial hair, but i also dislike shaving, so i tend to vary between long stubble and clean shaven at any one time. I'm essentially forbidden from growing a full beard at any point in the near future, though, since both my dad and my GF's have them, and that's really not something you want reminding of =0 Plus (again thanks to my dad...) my beard's ginger >.< _________________ Keeper of Tristram's rings, and Felucca's very expressive ears. |

My brother's beard is ginger as well, and he's a blond...then again our dad is as ginger as you can get without crossing into carrot territory. ^^;;

I've got a beard now. It's getting long and I've got to trim it...but unfortunately, I lost my comb. _________________ Keeper of Zaebos' and Jormand's powers.
