Sorry if this is a duplicate... but, I never noticed it before...
Who IS Sesom? It has to be a planet that Earthsong told her about, because with her memory being wiped and all...
Though, they could have mentioned Sesom when Tengu was being promoted, and Tengu figured that they must have been a god/planet.
Sesom is a god/planet, I can assume?
Well, he/she/it's going in my Tengu fanfic. ;P

Sesom is something or someone that Tengu's species can swear to as holy. Beyond that, we know nothing. I would presume that the expression is either found within her remnant or that, as with fel's knowledge that zae's species are comedy toe-biting kid's stories on her planet, that you retain more than just the last few seconds in the form of latent memories and generic factoids - in the same way that you remember how to walk and talk, which are learned during the lifetime, things like swearing in a pinch could wlel be semi-instinctual.
It's Moses backwards, by the way, which is how it came about.

Well it serves as fertiliser; it was one of the vectors of original plant domestication and thus; in conjunction with certain climate zones, domesticatable animals, and viable crop packages; led indirectly to the rise of the most powerful societies on earth. There are good reasons to regard crap as holy. 
That and some people are insane.

Once more, farming. Cows=milk, cheese, fertilizer, meat; and I think mackerel can be a fertilizer, too.
Though it could be that Sesom sounds like something holy; see holy cow, oh my goodness, darn it, fudge, etc.
