Liking the new style, although part of me is surprised its not picked out in purple/lavender Smile .

Im having Avvie issues, but I suspect thats on my end rather than the forum, so I'll hammer on that some more *breaks out the big 'fixing' hammer*

Having the logo link to the index of the site (or in this case, the index of the forum) is a well established convention of web design. People expect it. If there's a logo and it's not clickable, it invariably causes momentary disorientation. It's like drawing detailed backgrounds, Lady -- no one ever notices if it's there, but absolutely everyone notices if it's not.

And I think I know what you're getting for your next birthday. So there.

I really like the new design, it's green and pretty and shiny!

I'm on the Lady's side, use the link that's already there. XP

I would have thought it's more natural for the logo to take you back to the main Earthsong page, not to the forum index.

Now that I would expect, but just to the forum? No, it doesn't make sense.

It's true, we don't really have a convenient link back to the real site...

But I must agree with the Lady: Click the "Forum Index", ya lazy bums!

You two go, guys. Ever tried DnD the LARP style? It's really weird and really hard and I've never done it, but a friend of mine was ranting and raving about it a while back. For six days.

I'm sorry, but I don't think my dignity would survive running around in tin foil armor, waving a stick and screaming "FIRE MAGIC! FIRE MAGIC!" at the top of my lungs.

Dice and dark basements suit me just fine.

Wait, they let you keep your dignity? Someone messed up, I'm pretty sure you're supposed to hand that in at the door.

Is there any chance we could get a spell-checker for posts. Im embarresed to admit it, but I'm getting worse with my typing, and having to constantly edit my posts to be legible is annoying. While I *could* just pay more attrention to the keys, or type slower, a spell-checker would be nice. Just a suggestion Smile

DnD? Nopers, nopenopenope, it's all about Vampire: the Masquerade. *nods wisely*

I like the colors because they might remind me to water my plants this summer. Maybe they'll make it to the fall this year...*crosses fingers*

The only thing that's throwing me off is the narrowness of the whole thing. >.> If that makes sense. Makes hunch my shoulders together unconsciously for some reason.

Among many other neat things, Firefox runs spell checking on all of the words you type into forms. As you're doing them. And underlines the misspelled ones in red. And if you right click one it'll give you suggestions for correcting the spelling.

And you can download it free.

Just saying. ^_^

The forum icons could use work. They're very difficult to tell the difference between new and no new posts. A small amount of shiny and minor color brighten...just isn't enough of a contrast. The icons in the forums themselves are red, and it works, but the ones on the index don't.
