I hate that Umbrella song. It gets my vote as worst song ev4r. Mostly because every time I hear it, I spend the rest of the day going 'Ella... ella... ella... eh... eh... eh...'
>.<
What about you guys? I guess I'm just not impressed by Rihanna at all. Other music worthy of hate? _________________

Haha XD I hate it, too. It sounds as if something during recording it went wrong. _________________ Dubbed "Moor" by Asa.*

No offense to people that like it, but I don't particularly enjoy scream-o music. I don't really understand the words, and I can't replicate it without severely hurting my vocal cords. _________________ Keeper of Zaebos' and Jormand's powers.

What kind of scream-o, Mane? Like death metal, or what?
I found another song I hate! (You can tell I'm listening to the pop station, can't you.) My Humps- featuring the most bizarre euphemisms since the Milkshake song. _________________

Music videos like that make me sick. >_<
"So Far" bugs me plenty. Mostly because of the stupidity of the English lyrics. The Hebrew ones aren't brilliant either, but come on! The English ones make me want to hit something. |

I agree with the scream-o and Umbrella, but I've never heard you're song, Tam, so I can't agree/disagree, and I can't understand the lyrics on Youtube.. ^__^;;. About Umbrella, I was skying this winter, and when I crossed onto the Italian side for a day... Firstly, restaurants everywhere and half those restaurants playing "ella ella eh eh eh" Since we were an hour getting back to France (huge traffic jam) I had it stuck in my head the whole time.... -__- _________________ Dubbed Cube by Asa

Agreements on the Umbrella atrocsity, I don't think I've heard the others. I would like to add 'Flow Rider' and 'All those Amy Whinehouse songs that are being played every 30 minutes on Radio 2.' I'm not a big music fan but my parents have the radio on all the time so I hear a lot of songs I don't like, which then turns into loathing. _________________ Britland as dubbed by AsA

I work in a RadioShack all summer and the only station we can play is Top 40. I can therefore sing the entirety of "Hey There Delilah"- and hate myself the entire time.
Incidentally, there's an amusing Youtube video version of "My Humps" by Alanis Morrisette. No, the video is no better, and the lyrics are just as weird, but it's a good laugh. _________________ The Keeper of Gwen's temper/K'thonya's tastes,

Oh no! My friend Erika actually likes that ridiculous song--My Humps. Uck, I really don't like that song, it is so stupid/repetitive. The Umbrella song was annoying because I never actually understood it, plus all the stupid, Ella...eh...eh...eh...*disgusted*
I should like to add any rap or heavy metal with profanity or 'inappropriate' content. Honestly, I know some people who are addicted to the stuff, but I've never seen the purpose. A) I can't comprehend anything in the rap songs. And B) Who likes lyrics like that? I've never been partial to rap, but I suppose, as with any genre of music, there is good with the bad. I guess I'm too ignorant out of my own dislike for the style that I don't know. ; )

The Alanis Morrisette cover of My Humps was pretty funny, but the song in general isn't exactly a musical triumph.
I actually have a story concerning the James Blunt one! A friend of mine was working for a restaurant or club during festival-time a few years back when that song, and Daniel Powter's "Bad Day" got released, and both songs would ALWAYS be played on the radio, BACK-TO-BACK, and AT LEAST once an hour. Every day.
On the final day of the festival when she and another girl were on clean-up duty and both songs played towards the end of the shift, their shift manager came in, picked up the radio and threw it to the ground, smashing it to bits, and then went back to what ever he had been doing initially, leaving the rest of the staff very confused but relieved.
Now, while I'm certainly not encouraging people to go out and do massive electronics damage whenever they're fed up of a song, I can't say I haven't been tempted.
I can't think of my own personal music peeve at the moment, but I'm sure one will come up. |

Because they tend not to play anything I like, I don't listen to the radio and when I do I certainly don't listen to any pop stations. That isn't to say I don't like a pop song now and again, but the majority are tripe.
The "You're Beautiful" song is still alright in my books, mostly because of the previous paragraph - I haven't been over exposed to it. I think I like Weird Al's version better though
But omigosh yes I hate death metal/rage music. It's all I'm-a-little-white-suburbanite-who-never-had-to-work-hard-for-anything-but-I'm-so full-of-impotent-rage-cause-my-parents-won't-raise-my-allowance emo. Sucks to that. It mostly makes me laugh though - especially thinking of those guys sitting in a studio with their latte and screaming with a faux primeval angst.
And on a similar note, I hate Simple Plan and their ridiculous pop-wanna-be-green-day sound and impotent teen-identity crisis lyrics.
GRAHHHH... now you've got me going!
*seethes*
I shall end simply by saying that I too cannot fathom the stupidity of that Hump song and I've never heard the Umbrella one and I don't feel that I'm missing out. _________________ Keeper of Nanashi's Vambraces and the Amethyst Trees.

Oh, no, Lady. You gotta hear that "ella, ella, ella, eh eh eh" chorus at least once to believe it. Listen to it twice to have fun trying to control the spontaneous wincing! _________________ The Keeper of Gwen's temper/K'thonya's tastes,
