It's kind of weird, but ...
You know how when it's really cold the little hairs in your nose freeze to one another on the inhale and thaw on the exhale?
Yeah, I like that. XD _________________ Keeper of The Remnant Minuon (cognomen Lucy, the Eaten One) and the Emissary Caeli |

The earliest memory I have of snow is when my parent were driving at night time. It was pitch black except for the shilloutte of trees against the moonlights. The car would have warm breeze inside and I would be watching all of the snows go by and see it glitter from the headlight.
I used to pretend that we were driving through diamonds. _________________ Keeper of Gwendowlyn's red hair.

Oh I just remembered something else! Sometimes at night the light reflecting on the snow would sparkle when you moved around. I remember sledding one night and just watiching the snow to see it sparkle. 'Course I had to go home right after. _________________ Yo.

No bugs and no allergies.
Seriously, I don't go outside much, and don't pay much attention to the weather when I do. About the only thing that strikes me is when it's "epic" outside. Windy and overcast, pouring and thundering, heavy fog, the type of weather where "stuff" "happens". With that in mind the best thing about winter is less daylight. Sun is boring. You're never going to stumble across a squad of time assassins taking on an ancient demon penguin when it's sunny out.
Also I don't feel miserable all day because I'm wearing a sweatshirt (which I do ALL the time) when it's 75F out. Unless it reaches the point where I wish I was wearing MORE than a sweatshirt, in which case this is nulled. _________________ {[Number One Perpetual Half Lurker Pseudo Regular]}

I love the feeling of restoration it brings to the plants here.
I love the feeling that you get when you're walking around when it's really cold, then you go inside and your hands turn really hot, especially under your fingernails.
I love the rain and the greenness.
I love scarves and hot chocolates.
I love the welcome relief from summer.

I knew someone would mention rain in connection to winter. You're one of our Aussies, correct? I think we have more than one.
This is great, guys, I'm so pleased! _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

-Watching nature itself gradually slide into hibernation
-Snow at night, and how when its falling the sky looks like a giant, dully orange blanket over everything
-Snow at night after its fallen, and how there are more stars on the ground than there are in the sky
-Getting up at dawn to watch the colors come back into the world, and to be the first person to walk on freshly fallen snow
-Footprints in snow
-Wearing my scarves and hats
-Kids bundled up so much they waddle
-Students from warm climates bundled up so much you can't even see their eyes
-Those girls who annoy the crap out of me freezing their tushes off because they were too fashion-conscious to wear practical things
-Snowflakes on the shoulders of my peacoat
-Savoring warm things like fireplaces, snuggling, cookies and hot drinks
-The fact that there's about eight different kinds of snow
-The way my fiance goes around in short sleeves complaining its not cold enough yet, despite 14 inches of snow on the ground
-The smell of sawdust on his winter coat when it finally is cold enough for him to wear it
-The way he can smell when its going to snow
And everything else that everybody's written so far. Winter is my favorite season, perhaps because I never got to experience it growing up ^_^' _________________ I do commissions!

Yeah, that's mine too. They've got long sleeves, layers, and coaths on - but they're all too thin to do much good. And flip flops. I mean, iw ear flip flops no matter the time of year, but I don't wear them and complain how frozen my toes are. And i know better than to wear them if it's been snowing that morning. Pft.

There was this one girl I saw a few years ago, wearing one of those stylish down coats with the big hood, and Uggs. She's was complaining of cold. Why? Because she was wearing a miniskirt and nothing else between the coat and the boots. *headdesk*
I also love that I can finally take good picture of my puppy, because he's coal black and only shows up nicely on a white background. ^_^ _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

See, warm things+ miniskirt works in L.A., and probably Florida, where it snows once every three decades... not so much in the Northeast XD _________________ I do commissions!

I like the stillness of a sharp night when all the world's asleep but me. When I can close my eyes, still my breathing, slow my heart, and listen to the whisper of the grass brushing against itself.
I like the feeling and the faint crack of fabric when the wind catches my coat and makes it ripple sideways with the leaves.
I like the feeling of hot chocolate as it works its way down inside.
That shiver that shakes its way from the top of your spine on stepping from a warm place to a cold one before you've time to be cold. When the world seems to hold still for a moment.

Hot Chocolate or Chocolate pudding with ice cream and clotted cream
Cuddles
Warm fuzzy wuzzy jackets
Snow Ball fights
Wandering through the park to get fast food after a medium snow fall at 1 in the morning, and seeing all the snow untouched in the night - it was a kind of magic moment
Nights in watching good films
Watching the weather outside _________________ Bernard [about the job]: The pay's not great, but the work is hard.
