I've never read any of the Artemis Fowl books, but in general I'm never a fan of other authors filling in for others... There's just too much bias on my own part for me to be objective and potentially enjoy it.

So I probably won't read this new one.

The sad part about this is that far too many people are going to think of that movie when they hear about this.

I do like Eoin Colfer, I think he's a lot of fun. But why would you write a sequel to Hitchiker's Guide? Does it really need one? It's the sort of series that could probably stop in the middle of the middle and say "we're all done here folks", and people would buy it just because the way things had been going already. This seems...like a desire for money, and nothing more.
