I have a whole bunch of jpeg images I want to convert to a multi-page pdf document. Does anybody have suggestions for the best way to go about doing that, and perhaps suggestions on the best free online software to use? (note the keywords 'free' and 'online'.)
Thanks for you help and advice! _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^

I'm not aware of any programs that work online for doing that specifically -- if you meant a program that runs through a web site, where you upload the images and then download the finished PDF.
However, there are free programs available online to do it. Assuming you're using Windows, the program you need is:
PDFCreator
When you install it, PDFCreator sets up a pretend "printer" on your system. Then you start any program (Word, for example), open your file, click File->Print, select PDFCreator as your printer, and it will create a PDF out of the file. You'll be prompted to fill in the name of the file and such.
If you're using Mac, the trick is to start Word, open your file, click File->Print, and then click the "Save as PDF" button.
So all you need to do is insert one image per page in Word, and then use one of those. Alternatively, if you wanted to install OpenOffice.org, its word processor (Writer) has a "Save as PDF" button in the toolbar, so you would just make your document and then click that. _________________ Keeper of The Remnant Minuon (cognomen Lucy, the Eaten One) and the Emissary Caeli |

Openoffice's Save as PDF is probably your best bet though since it appears you'd be creating a new document. Otherwisde, printing to a PDF allows any software on your machine to do it, which is handy. Of course, since Squee has both Acrobat AND FlashPaper, Squee just prints to one of those
There's nothing online that Squee's aware of. Tons of ways to view PDF, but not to create. |

Yeah, by online I meant something I can get online, without having to go to a store or whatever.
Thank you so much for your help, PDFCreator looks perfect. ^__^ _________________ Self-styled Forum Grandmother, because I hand out nicknames and hugs whether you want them or not. ^_^
