So Tam, either you or I need to run a WG with that as the theme. The question is: which one of us wants to write, and which one wants to proctor? _________________ . Dubbed "Usagi" by AsA .

Seems to me like a difficult WG to run, because the creator must fashion an appropriate world. And now everyone already knows the topic. >_>
That said, I'd consider giving it a shot. I'll try to think of a world... |

This could also be done as a completely separate project from the "traditional" WGs.
First, we need to agree on some very basic concepts about how the setting and story format is supposed to look like (Something as simple as: "Steampunk Swashbuckling" or "Retro Sci-Fi" or something similar).
Then someone starts by telling a short story that fits into the chosen genre and defines some (but by no means all) details of the setting.
Next, someone else adds a second story that takes place in the same world and sheds some light on other parts of the setting's background.
And so on...
After a few stories, we should have a pretty good image of how the full setting would look and feel like. At this point it may be helpful to produce a glossary of known facts to make sure further stories don't accidentally contradict previous information. _________________

Would an extension of the deadline help you finish? _________________

There's definitely a few ways to pull it off. Telling the stories one after the other like that is cool, but I'd be afraid that it would take a long time. I guess there would have to be deadlines, like you make a list of interested people and each one has two weeks after the last one. Could work.
As a WG there could be an element tying the stories together, like an object passed through the ages or something. The advantage of doing it as a WG is that it will faster and more independent.
Actually, I think your idea works best, Lope. What kind of setting should it be, then? ^_^ |

Well, it's nearly midnight on my side of the globe, so Sunday, September 21th is pretty much over...
And so is this WG! Voting may commence immediately... _________________

After all four votes were in, this WG was, once again, a tie!
However, this time it was not a four-way tie, but "only" a 2-2.
As has been done before, I asked an outside person for help in breaking this tie.
And the winner is...
Tamir!

I think it shows the level of work and effort people are putting into the WG's, and also that all of us share a love of writing and reading. At least, I like think that that way. I know I, personally, have greatly enjoyed literally every piece submitted, and would love to see them all turned into much larger stories. _________________ . Dubbed "Usagi" by AsA .
