Hmm... I've tried table-top once, and that made me nervous enough- I don't really like the weird compromise between actually living in an adventure world and reading/watching an adventure world(ie books or movies). I'll take one or the other, plz and thx.
I can see how it'd be fun though :P You just have to have the right mentality for it, I suppose. |

In regards to the trying it and experiencing no great loss, I'm afraid with my friend group that might not be true. Literally, some people might never speak to me again XD _________________ If you're reading this, you haven't quite made it to the next post. |

Wow... that exploded fast. But in a good way. So cool to see other LARPers...
Now, who's tried GURPS at the same time as LARP? You'll only know what I mean if you've done it. All I have to say on that to defend myself from ridicule and weird looks is this. "One time... at band camp..."
Okay, not really. But some guys and a few of the girls are DnD freaks and they invited me to LARP in the wonderful world of Bandgeekopolis. Take DnD, add a few bass drummers, a crazy baritone player who's the only boy in his six-person section, make it LARP, and tell me the outcome of the recipie. Yields five hundred servings of killer laughs. Especially when the bass drummer trips over his drum while attempting to run up to the drum major and scream "Cast fire! Cast fire! CAST FIRE, ******, FIRE!" _________________ The universe is really interesting. It's also screwed up, but that's what makes it so interesting.

I am a big LARPer and I am ashamed of your friends, lol. _________________ Dubbed FOOT by the awesome AsA!!!
I used to think everyday I didn't wake up and gargle a few rounds from a revolver was a victory, but little "golden" moments like this make me wonder, "A victory for who?"

It isn't as bad as when I saw a LARP game gone bad. The two main people were fighting each other, when by his stats, the good guy runs out of magic to use. So, he walks up to the other main character, the bad girl, and just gives her a stage kiss. They're also boyfriend and girlfriend, and both actors, but it was hilarious nonetheless. Needless to say, good guy gets the girl. _________________ The universe is really interesting. It's also screwed up, but that's what makes it so interesting.
