This group's topic is PARODY! Parody means that you take something and imitate it in a way to either mock it or make it funny.

What I'd like you guys to do is find a song you really like and rework the words so that it is either funny or it pertains to something you care about. I'd rather you guys choose well-known songs, but you can really choose any song you'd like. Please link us to the original music (youtube would probably be the easiest) and either post or link us to the lyrics.

Since many songs have lyrics that would probably be inappropriate for the forums, please try to choose songs without too much profanity or an excessive amount of innuendo. If you'd like, I can preview a song before you work on it.

EDIT: Oh, and please note that parody in it's proper usage does not refer only to music; it can refer to prose, poetry, music, art, and just about whatever you'd like. For the purposes of this group, though, we'll be sticking with re-writing songs. That's more fun anyways, right?
